Head town to the seato exploreCroatia’s third largest city, never touched by the Romans, withabundant water networks making it anideal base for exploring the surrounding islands and their national parks. Going back to 11th century most of Šibenik was built by Venetians. Its most famous landmark is the Cathedral of Saint James built only by stone in Gothic and Renaissance style dating back to 15th century. Michelin deserving restaurants, traditional eateries serving delicious local delicacies, and fragrant cafés line the narrow streets. Favorite pass time here is grabbing an ice-cream cone and getting lost in the city, aimlessly exploring, admiring centuries of history and for those of us who are fans, looking for favorite Game of Thrones filming sites.
