I preface my feedback by saying, my family and I rent out our vacation rental properties so we are very familiar with how to run a vacation home.
Gloria the property owner never sent us any instructions on how to check in and access the property until I called Vrbo, bc she wasn’t responsive, and she responded to their call and then she sent me the check-in info 20 minutes before pulling up to the property.
The place is really cute and in a good location but things were broken and the home wasn’t equipped with many of the standard supplies needed for a comfortable stay (ie coffee pot was cracked, broken hangers to hang up coats, loose knob in shower, one roll of paper towels and no roll in bathrooms, no wisk, no hand or stand mixer, hand soap dispensers but no hand soap, no cleaning supplies like all purpose cleaner to wipe down the counters after use, Etc). Now I understand that not everyone can fully equip their rental home but when you own 14 rental properties you would think however the owner would know to at least provide a list of items that the renter should bring prior their arrival. These are all items we would have brought if we’d known it wasn’t going to be available. Who has time to constantly go to the grocery store for these items when they’re only staying for two nights.
Keep in mind we have properties that we rent out and have rented several properties so we’re very used to what to expect from a home rental and this property didn’t even meet the bare minimum. Working with this owner was like renting from a new home owner.
