This home had a great feel to it. The owner has an eclectic sense of style that creates peace and comfort. There were blackberry briars planted around the fence row that are kept pruned back, and they had juicy, ripe berries that we enjoyed each morning with breakfast.
Unlike other VRBO properties we have stayed in, this is someone's home, not just a rental property, so there were lots of personal items in the home, which creates a more homey feel, but if you like stark empty spaces, it may not be a good fit.
The home was in a quiet and safe area, which is good because we stayed during the European heat wave and we had to leave the doors and windows open at night in order to sleep comfortably, and there were no screens. The yard is fenced and private, and we hoped for the best. All went fine. We were grateful for the fans, one for each bedroom we used. If not for them we would have gotten little sleep due to the warm temperatures as there was no AC--I'm sure AC is not usually needed.
The kitchen was well supplied, though I had to Google how to turn the stove on. Directions for using it in the house's info book would be a good idea. Light switches are also not the easiest to find, but the hose is enjoyable.
The home is easy walking distance to the metro line, and to a spot where one can rent the white, motorized Copenhagen city bikes. There were always some at the metro stop. We didn't use one, but if we came back, we definitely would do so.
While close to the Metro line, if you are driving in, there is no place to park at the house. The neighborhood is laid out in such a way that unless the property owner has given up part of their lot to accommodate a car, there is no place to park. This house has no parking spot. The street to access the house is wide enough for a single car, so if you venture down it, you hope no one is trying to leave their house because someone will have to back up to allow the other to pass. Parking is at the head of the single-lane street, on the main road that takes you to a Netto grocery, etc. We managed to secure a spot each day we stayed at the house, but parking was a bit stressful. If one was relying solely on public transportation, this house works well.
The only hitch was the guest direction book says that bedding will be laid out for renters, but the cleaners did not lay out any bedding, which gave us a panic until my daughter found the bedding cupboard in the bathroom.
We'd stay again.
