Hotel Margrethe has 5 double rooms and 18 family rooms for 2 adults and 2-3 children. All rooms have bath- toilet- TV and wireless Internet connection - and some of them also air condition. The restaurant has an ample menu and wine card- a large childrens menu and an extensive selection of Danish- Scandinavian and French courses. The hotel offers weekend stays with Saturday dancing and golf holidays. The location cannot be more practical if you wish to visit the two great attractions Givskud Zoo and LEGOLAND. You can reach Billund Airport and Scandinavias largest aqua park Lalandia Billund in a few minutes by car. The ancient town Jelling with the tale of the old Danish kings Gorm den Gamle and Harald Blaatand is even closer. The privately owned family hotel Hotel Margrethe is situated in the little railway village Gadbjerg and has all the facilities appreciated by families with children. There are both an indoor pool and an outdoor pool for children. The outdoor pool is heated from April to November. There is also a bubble bath and a solarium. In addition there are lots of spaces where the children can play. Hotel Margrethe is situated close to the ancient military road Haervejen which was the main road through Jutland from Viborg to Slesvig. The road has been used by cattlemen for centuries to bring a total of 50.000 Danish oxen to the markets in Holstein every year. You can follow Haervejen to the north or to the south - both on foot- on bike or on horse. If you are a golf player you will be pleased to know that there are 5 golf courses within a radius of 30 km.
