Imagine waking up to the morning sun sparkling on the ocean and the sounds of passing seagulls! Irene 301 is a lovely, three-bedroom, two-bathroom, oceanfront condo that has been completely refurbished and redecorated. The condo features a fully equipped kitchen, three TVs, a DVD player, a full-size washer/dryer, central air conditioning, free high-speed WiFi, and plenty of storage space for all of your beach supplies. Relax on one of the two private, covered balconies - one overlooking the ocean and one facing Coastal Highway - which provide a wealth of additional room for your family. Come see what The Irene is all about!

The Irene enjoys a wonderful location on 111th Street, where you can easily walk down to the beach for a day of sun and surf. The property is located directly across from the Gold Coast Mall, where you can find all sorts of options for shopping and dining.

THINGS TO KNOW

The building is equipped with three high-speed elevators for your convenience.
A $60 per week, nonrefundable building registration fee is due upon check-in at the Irene Condominium, payable by cash or check.
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 1 vehicle.
This rental is located on floor 3.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Detailed review

Just checked out after a 1 week family vacation of 9, ages 8 to 88. If you have a booking, seriously reconsider!! The unit was perfect for sleeping arrangements. Seating was more than ample, lay out works very well for large families. Kitchen was wonderfully stocked with utensils & made for cooking almost all meals a breeze. Beds were comfortable with ample extra blankets & pillows. Ocean view is good. Decor is beautifully done. Lots of storage room. WONDERFUL surprise to find beach chairs & toys in front balcony closet. Getting in was a nightmare!!! Lock box only had key to door that opens onto front balcony. It did not open front door! Called number on reservation & they had no clue how to get into the unit. 30 mins later I tried the sliding glass door to bedroom & it was open. We were unable to secure front door the entire stay. Not safe with children. When we finally entered we were greeted by a horrible stench of dirty stagnant water in the washing machine. It would not drain! Maintenance did not show up till Monday afternoon. The dryer hallway door fell off in my hand & maint staff had to put it away in hall broom closet. The lights in main hallway did not work. Was very dark. Safety issue for children going to bathroom at night. Dishwasher top rack had broken wheels, master bathroom shower doors wouldn't slide. Mostly small problems, but the safety issues MUST be addressed before you consider staying. Unit was well cleaned upon arrival.

Excellent stay

This location is perfect for a mature group. The condo is located on the corner which made for multiple balconies and less concern for being too noisy. Although we were not allowed to check in early, the room was ready at exactly 4pm. My only complaint is that there is a small bathroom near the main lobby where a few people were playing a game. My group of girlfriends and I were very respectful while we changed into our swimsuits as quietly as possible and yet the owner still complained to one of my friends that we were using the bathroom and interrupting their game. Our condo had a keurig which wasn’t listed in the original listing and was a pleasant surprise. I would recommend bringing extra towels to shower with if you’re going to use maximum occupancy, as we did. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this spot and return again in the future! Great location, clean, perfect size and space as shown in the pictures.

East Coast Beach View

Overall the property was very clean and beautiful. The only issue with the property is a list of beach items would be nice so guests know if they need to buy anything like an umbrella. Our biggest issue was the check in process was cumbersome and directions for that and in the condo were not clear. There were 3 different linen instructions etc.

Ocean city vacation

Beautiful condo- decorated so nicely. Bathrooms need updating. Fridge and coffee maker was not clean when we arrived. One toilet was not working when we arrived and the air conditioning stopped working one evening. The air conditioning was fixed within 24 hours and the toilet was fixed within 48 hours.

Fabulous stay and very pleased!

For starters this was a great location in the building, steps from the stairs and elevator which was super convenient and we couldn't hear anything outside the unit because of private front balcony before actually going into the condo. It’s beautifully decorated and maintained. It had all of the nicest kitchen supplies, utensils and extras! The balcony overlooked the beach and was fabulous for dinners and relaxing when not at the beach. We will be booking this condo again next summer! Hands down, no complaints!

Lovely unit - but no internet access

Had I known the internet would be so bad in this building, I probably wouldn't have chosen this unit. The unit is at the end of the building so the (free to renters) building internet access router cannot cut through the concrete and steel. I had to use my own data (which caused an overage) to complete some work. Instead of being able to keep up with email while on vacation, I came back to an onslaught of email. Overall, it's 2017 and no internet access at a place that you expect to have internet access (it's advertised as such on the unit listing) makes for a very frustrating experience. Also, there were a few things that were broken in our unit - master bedroom towel rack was very loose (people must use it to balance when getting out of the tub shower), the handle on the laundry area was completed falling off (screws were stripped), and the second/back balcony sliding screen was completely off track. We were also missing a remote control in the master bedroom. We filed tickets with the rental agency (Vantage) on Monday and nothing was totally fixed before we left except for the master bath towel rack. Everything else was 'waiting on parts'. We never did have internet access. In looking at the reviews today as I write this, it appears the internet issues are systemic and, while the property says the owner is addressing it, it hasn't been addressed yet. Wish those reviews were posted prior to me booking this unit. If the internet is fixed, I'd rent again. Otherwise, we'll find another unit/property in the future.

Very poor wifi connection. Wifi router was not strong enough/too far away to reach our unit. Wasted a lot of time trying to connect. Experience for the entire family including kids would have been different if the internet worked properly.

Very nice

Beautiful furnishings and decor. Very nice kitchen well stocked. Beautiful balcony but wish the balcony was closer to the ocean for a better view, a lot of the view was of the parking lot for the condos next door.
