Klassisk øhus med tropiske haver rundt omkring. Komfortabelt hjem nær havet på solrige South Shore kun få skridt væk fra Baby Beach, en vidunderlig sæsonbestemt svømning / snorklingstrand. Gården er frodig anlagt med blomster- og frugttræer for en smuk udsigt over haven.

Dit køkken er fuldt udstyret, så du kan vælge at spise derhjemme eller spise på en af mange fine, nærliggende restauranter. Det kan være en god idé at besøge et af Kauais Sunshine Markets, landmændsmarkeder i en anden by hver ugedag. Vi giver dig en tidsplan, så du kan tjekke de friskeste lokale råvarer, inklusive eksotiske frugtsorter, der kan bruges i de retter, du opretter. Nice Hawaiian Bungalow

We enjoyed our stay in this classic Hawaiian bungalow. It is on a quiet street, very close to the uncrowded Poipu Baby Beach. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the peaceful front lanai/porch. Great restaurants and shopping are nearby. Very happy with the house and the location.

Wake up with the roosters

The place is clean, mostly comfortable, in a good location and nice neighborhood. Roosters in the neighborhood begin crowing, usually at 3am, but once at 1am. It made sleep difficult and made the Kauai experience less than it should have been. I would not choose VRBO in Kauai in the future knowing how many chickens are living in the residential neighborhoods. Also, I said the residence was mostly comfortable. The mattresses were not comfortable.

Perfect, quiet getaway

This house was perfect for our trip to Kawai. It's in a quiet neighborhood, with quiet neighbors, in a nice part of town. Having access to a washer/dryer was convenient and I took advantage of the new bbq. There were no issues with the house and we'd stay here again.

Grace and charm at the beach

This is for people who enjoy old-fashioned charm; a bungalow from the 30’s that allows you to feel you are actually living the Hawaiian life. Privacy, quiet, and convenience. There is public access almost directly across the road and it was 5 minutes from walking out the door to snorkeling (we counted at least 3 dozen type of fish). Walk to the Beach House or Lawai Beach. We hope very much to return.

The home that saved the storm

We had planned this trip for 3 years, saved up for it, wanted it to be a dream and life-long memory for our 18 year old son, graduating from HS shortly. It was his big gift, and our last vacation as a family while our son was in school and at home still. Then a huge week long storm came. If it weren't for this house, and the warm, adorable feel, the location, across the street from what is now my happy place on Earth, Baby Beach, we would have lost this dream. The house became our memory, and we made fabulous ones here. My husband and I have already told the neighbors (also wonderful), we will be back every year, we hope to bring our grandkids here (no pressure, 18-year-old son) (only child)! In short, we will be back. There is nothing this house is missing, especially the feeling of home. It actually reminds us of one of our former homes here in San Diego, the craftsman-style feel and so much comfort. They provided everything. And should it rain all day while you're there (unusual, it typically rains for only moments), go to Spouting Horn, magnificent in the rain, right up the street, or go for a run in the rain and collect fallen plumerias and put them in a huge bowl in your living room, it will make the whole house smell amazaing (I did this daily) There are always enough plumerias on the ground if you look. Take a walk around the park around the block and see the tribute to the King. Go to the shopping center up the street and brouse, the store owners are so kind and I got to know two of them over the week and brought one some art of my own. Take a nap with the bedroom door open and listen to waves crash while you read a book, take a BATH, the bathtub is amazing. And play a game with your family, because who has time to do that at home..... I mean really who does! You need vacation and rainy days for that. Well, it met all of our needs, I got to snorkle when the sun peeped out, although I did that in the rain too, and my son and husband spent their every moment they could body surfing at the famous Brenekes. My favorite day was our last full day. They took off for body surfing, and I went back and forth between Baby Beach and my home, as I was making art and reading a book, and running back and forth excited because I found the perfect piece of rock. To top it off, a friend from elementary school was right by us, and his family met mine on Baby Beach. we hadn't seen each other since 8th grade. Top that.

We loved the Little Grass Shack

This is a perfect place for a family vacation on Kauai. It was a short walk (less than 5 mins) to Baby Beach. There is snorkeling in a small coral bunch and the rest is sandy. The house was equipped with everything you could need for cooking, bbq, and towels for showering/beach. We will be back!

Nice Cottage in a Good Location

We did enjoy the cottage and used the front balcony in the morning and the rear patio in the evening. It has a pleasant living space and a decent kitchen. It is always hard to know what to expect in the way of kitchen supplies. Here we found some salt but no other staples such as sugar or olive oil. This is not a complaint, but just a warning if you plan to self cater. 2 excellent restaurants (the Beach House and Merriman's) within walking distance but take a flashlight the walk back is very dark. Also make reservations before you go. Overall, we would unhesitatingly stay here again.

We loved the cottage and location

We enjoyed our stay. Thanks for the use of the beach chairs and umbrellas. Two improvements necessary: 1. There need to be a hand railing goi g down the steps to the shed. I almost had a bad fall there after it rained. 2: the indoor shower door doesn’t close all the way and water sprays out on to the wood floors

great location.

Great location, across from beach, walking distance to shops, market, restaurants. Quiet neighborhood, mostly vacation rental homes, lots of tourist but mostly adults, families. We stayed during week of New Years...no young, loud party groups! Owner had most of the things you would need throughout the home.

Perfect for family vacation

Very neat, cozy and quite place, providing almost everything we need for a family vacation. My son loves the boogie board and had a wonderful time on the beach. They even have snorkeling gears and beach chairs/ umbrella!

All around great experience.

The property managers were easy to work with, even when we had to postpone our visit for a year due to COVID-19. The property is in great condition and we had everything we needed for a great Kauai vacation (even snorkel gear and laundry facilities). Great location, a short walk to multiple beaches. Even in July, we never had to use the AC. The fans and the ocean breezes kept us comfortable. We'd definitely recommend the Little Grass Shack and Kauai Vacation Rentals.

Little Grass Shack, Baby Beach

Super cute place. All was as advertised. A warning to those not familiar with the type of lock on the front door...you can get locked out and not able to unlock with the key. We have stayed on the other side of the road previously. I know it sounds silly, but the ocean noise was too loud for me at night. Little Grass Shack was perfect in that regard, as you can hear the waves from a bit of a distance. The vacation rental company was prompt with phone call returns and service. Perfect sized house for a family of 4.

Loved our stay, will be back!

Super close to every south side beach. Not right now the shore, but just across the street and a few steps away from baby beach. The farthest area to the west on that little beach was perfect for our little ones. 4 and 7. We loved he house. Ate on the porch every meal as it was quite hot inside, but Kauai Vacation rentals came and dropped off 3 great new fans for us when we told them how uncomfortable we were. The nights cool off quickly with good fans and the outdoor space is fantastic for being out in the breeze while it’s hot inside. The outdoor shower in the back with laundry shed were a life saver for washing off the sand and rinsing off the ocean before coming home for resting. Loved this place so much. Great for our little family of 4 adventurers. Kitchen stocked well too. Such a wonderful time!

Cozy Bungalow

Our stay in this bungalow was just what we were looking for! The rental company made check in so easy by leaving the keys with the car rental agency. Baby beach is a short stroll and not crowded. The "shack" was just perfect, all the kitchen supplies are there (and then some), and the re-useable shopping bag and cooler with goodies were a very nice touch. Will definitely book here on the next trip!
