Right on Lake George in the center of "Real" Florida, the Ocala National Forest. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Fish, hike, kayak, canoe, swim in the pool and enjoy the great outdoors. Perfect for shallow water boats, kayaks and canoes. Beach, Springs, major Florida Attractions all excellent day trips. The space
Our home is a slice of Paradise located down a 4 mile dirt road off of Highway 40, on Lake George, the second largest lake in Florida. We are adjacent to a public boat ramp where you can launch your boat. It's a perfect place for bird watching, boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming in the pool and just relaxing. We have a deck upstairs which is great for breakfast or relaxing and watching the lake with a smaller side area great for yoga or just having some quiet time, and one down on the water where you can swing, fish, picnic and enjoy the lake and beautiful sunsets. While our water is shallow, deck, pontoon or flats boats are ususally able to tie up at our dock.
There are several outdoor eating areas as well as a picnic table on the side.
We have a small, above ground pool that is easy to access and great for floating and boat watching. There is plenty of parking and a side lot with a firepit for cool evening fires. and outdoor games like corn hole. We have 4 kayaks and a canoe available to use. We are 20 minutes from Alexander and Juniper Springs, 30 from Silver Glen, about an hour from Salt, Blue and DeLeon Springs. There are several good restaurants, pizza delivery, Kroger food delivery, Grocery store and Dollar General.
We are about 30 minutes from the Barberville Speedway and an hour from The Daytona International Speedway and Daytona Beach.This is the perfect location in the Ocala National Forest to enjoy the very best of natural Florida.

Paradise Found is a fairly large living space with an open living room, dining, room, sun room, kitchen. The fully equiped kitchen has a large, commercial double oven gas stove with griddle, plus everything you would expect. The dining room table will seat 8. The kitchen has a counter island with seating for 3 and a wash up sink. Master suite which has a king size bed, large walk-in closet and full attached bathroom with 2 sink, a shower and a jetted bath tub. The upstairs bedroom has plenty of cabinets for staorage, a dedicated work area and access to the upper deck with amazing views, rocking chairs and barstools to watch the lake and birds. There is a laundry room with utility sink and there is plenty of outdoor space to roam and play.

If you need more space, you may also book The Sanctuary at Lake George (if available)which is an attached Mother-in- Law suite and will sleep an additional 6 people.
Other things to note
Our area is very popular with airboats and jet skiis so there is likely to be noise from time to time. We just smile and wave. We also live near a Navy bombing range which may certainly disturb your serenity but again, smile and wave and thank them for keeping us safe. If you see smoke, it is most likely a controlled bunr conducted by the Forestry department to keep our forest from becoming tender boxes. They don't last long.
Wildlife, including is abundant in our area so please keep your distance and stay safe. The otters and racoons sure look cute but can be quite agressive. Stay safe.
