"As others have said, it's near an intersection, gas station, and busy street, but it's still a great location. You can walk to Bowen's Warf in 20 minutes, there's a bike/walking path behind the house into town, or cut through the Common Burial Ground over to Spring Street.It's extremely clean and has a full kitchen and a washer and dryer in the basement. It's older, with old appliances and nice wooden floors - definitely nothing fancy, but very Newport in its own way. Nice shower.My only...

"This was a great rental for our stay in Newport! Although it might look far from downtown Newport, it was less than a 10 minute drive to the city center. Having a lockbox for the key was great when staying with a couple friends we could leave the key for each other. I would recommend adding a full length mirror to the property if possible, we would’ve liked to have one while getting ready for a friend’s wedding."

"Quirky and lovely. We had four in our group and we had a lovely experience at Howland House and in Newport. House is perfectly situated and hosts were welcoming with on-point suggestions and recommendations. Thank you!"

"The house is charmingly decorated, clearly a lot of effort went into it. The host/hostess have anticipated every need in the well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. My sense is it has been recently remodeled and has a new feel. The multiple window air conditioners were much appreciated during the hot days this past week. "Me and wife were saying what a great property, we vacation in middletown every year and this house was great! everything was updated, kitchen was large and back patio was amazing with fire pit. We are family we 3 teenage kids, so the 2 rooms in the back with 3 beds and shared bathroom worked extremely well for us. Finished basement was great. and the owner also responded to any question we had within 10min-hour on the VRBO app. Also it was a 5 min walk to "2nd Beach". which also amazing. quiet...
