"Excellent cottage in great location, very close to town but quietly tucked away. Everything you need for a stay, all fixtures and fittings of good quality. Only minor niggle is limited windows that open and shower was very slow to drain otherwise highly recommended."

Significant problem in that to ensure right mix of tables, all through the meal tables were being dismantled rolled out to a storage room and others replaced and set . "Lovely hotel, right next to the entrance to Alnwick Castle. The hotel itself is lovely, with helpful and friendly staff, lovely rooms (exactly as described on their website), nice relaxing bar. the perfect place for a weekend getaway. We were there for two nights and decided to eat in the restaurant on our second evening. The food was delicious. My wife and I shared the Chateaubriand and it was cooked perfectly.
