"This is the most relaxing place. We loved the quiet area and the gazebo and the fountain. If you want a retreat to relax, this is the place to come. A lot to do in the surrounding areas. I want to come back in the fall."

"Visiting family in Monterey, this property is phenomenal! Even my in-laws who came for dinner while we stayed because their kitchen is under remodel were so excited to know of this little gem! Will be staying again and forwarding suggestion to family and friends!!!"

"The location is secluded and very cozy. Great WIFI for our grandson!! The kitchen was well equipped for our stay. We were not too far away from town which had a couple FABULOUS restaurants: Los Agave's, very authentic Mexican food with a lovely staff and Sapori di Napoli, as "foodies" we did not expect such an upscale Italian Restaurant in such a small town!! We would travel to Monterey to eat at either restaurant again!!"

"Beautiful, cozy and clean. So peaceful and nice place to reflect and decompress. Beautifully decorated and just felt so relaxed and at home here. Very safe feeling too. Wifi was great (I had to work and had no issues). We caught a lot of fish and enjoyed watching the geese and other wildlife each day. Hope to make it a regular trip. "

"We were there 9/9-9/12 and had a relaxing, peaceful stay. The weather was perfect and my husband caught a few fish. The lily pads that filled the pond in 2023 had been thoroughly cleaned out which made the fishing more enjoyable. We also appreciated the pictures showing the directions at the end of Bowater. The cabin was clean, comfortable and spacious for our stay. We appreciated being able to have our dog with us too. The host was also very responsive to questions and easy to communicate with....

"We booked this cabin for our family during the Semi-Casual Truck Show and it was the perfect little getaway! Close proximity to the show and a beautiful scenic creek view off the back porch. The cabin was stocked with a very special welcoming gift in the fridge when we arrived which was a beautiful unexpected surprise! Everything was very smooth with the host and I would recommend giving this rental a try. We hope we can book it again for next year. "

"This place was amazing. Big enough for a family of 8 adults and 4 kids. Enough room for everyone to have their own space. The house was clean, the owners are easy to reach and respond immediately to any questions. The house is in the woods and the surrounding area is gorgeous. I highly recommend for any large family. I would definitely book this house again!!!!! "

"We came over Labor Day weekend. We wanted to just spend time on the river, so that was the perfect. The only thing that was a little difficult for us was were used to sleeping in the same bed and the biggest bed that they had was a full-size with a twin bunk over the top and then they had twin beds up in the loft so myself, and my dog slept in the full size, and my husband went up to the loft and slept in a twin bed. "We truly enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and peaceful. The scenery was true beauty. The grounds were very well maintained. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The little store there has everything you forget to bring. Communication with host was easy. Would definitely stay again. "

"We stayed with four adult couples for a weekend of boating on Dale Hollow.The house had everything we needed for cooking breakfasts and dinners and plenty of parking for the three boats we brought along with us.Perfect place for bringing the dogs. Ours stay close but the very large yard is entirely fenced in, which was a nice perk.We did not use the hot tub but had plenty of wood to enjoy s’mores by the fire pit."
