"We loved everything about this place. The owner helped with all the things we wanted to do. The room was amazing! Out of all the places we stayed on this trip. This was by far our favorite. The home cooked meals were a highlight of the trip. Tayeb and his staff made it feel like we were family. I highly recommend The Scorpion House. "

"This is a beautiful place to stay. It is located on the West Bank about a 10 minute walk from the ferry. The room was spotless when I checked in. Beautiful view of the Nile. Staff was very friendly and helpful and was always available for any questions or assistance. Being located on the West Bank is an idea location since it is much more quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Luxor in the future."

"This guesthouse is in a quiet and peaceful setting with beautiful views of the nearby temple complex and quaint village life. However this place has many drawbacks. "The property is situated right on the bank of the river Nile and our room had a view of the river. The roof top restaurant also overlooked the Nile. The room itself was large but very basic containing only a queen size bed and 1 small bedside cabinet. There was a closet to hang clothes. The bathroom had 1 of those folding doors which was off its track. No soundproofing there, you can hear people talking at all hours and chairs being pushed back. The food there is superb. "Le lenzuola erano sporche e macchiate, nel letto c’erano pelli. Gli asciugamani erano sporchi. Intorno all’hotel non ci sta nulla e l’area è molto sporca. Si sente costantemente puzza di bruciato perché briccicano la spazzatura. Di notte la zona è molto buia. Internet non funzionava mai. "All considering, its fair for the price. Our room was basic but ample and functional. The hosts are learning the trade, they try their best to please guests, but expect limitations. Breakfast was good and they can help with booking tours and taxis but they take their share, so prices can be higher than you moght find by negotiating directly on the street.
