This was by far the worst experience staying at Velas Condos. We arrived late at night and all we wanted to do was get some rest. The bedroom and shoddy linens should have been our first hint at the quality of the rest of the condo. The bed linens consisted of two lumpy pillow with a pink decorative pillow and two thin sheets on the bed. Hardly luxurious, more like a youth hostel. The bathroom sink faucet sprayed water all over and the cabinet was warped and peeling from water damage. The kitchen was likely the nicest area. The living area left much to be desired with an extremely uncomfortable fold-out futon type sofa where you sink to the ground when sitting on it. The worst part of staying in the condo is the constant construction and noise against the wall of the condo. Constant loud bangin, drilling, and pounding, it was unbearable. We contacted the owner, complained and advised we wanted to check out and why. We were told to contact Expedia who had difficulty contacting the owner, no luck with the owner on a refund. We recorded the noise to submit with our complaint. Very little was done to rectify our financial situation. We scrambled all morning to find alternate accommodation and we had to pay out of pocket for new accommodation to cover the period we would have been at Velas Condos. Overall - a nightmare. Buyer beware on this place - book here at your own risk.
