"Amber was an excellent host, the property was clean and comfortable, we initially had an issue with the heating system due to the excessively cold weather, but this was swiftly resolved and we were soon warm and cosy!The cottage has a lovely view over Owasco lake, nice furnishings, comfortable beds and all the facilities needed for a pleasant stay. Amber had even kindly left us a delicious bottle of local wine.We would definitely recommend!"

"This trip was a once in a lifetime opportunity that I will absolutely never forget. The view on the property is something out of a movie and it truly offers a piece of mind that no longer exist in the world we live in my fiancé, and I enjoyed attempting to fish at nearby docs, we also locally made wine and enjoyed sitting by the pellet stove where we got warm together we watched bald eagles, fly in the morning and observed black squirrels, climbing trees in the location. "The cabin was very clean, and the host(s) responded veryquickly to our communications. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was lovely. We were short on some utensils (only 4 teaspoons), and kitchen towels and dish clothes. The gas stove worked wonderfully as a heater. The view from the front window was nice, as alot of the leaves were off the trees and we could see the water. The water level in the lake was quite low, as they are in a drought. We had a great time!! "

"From the very start, communication with Dave was excellent. He was incredibly helpful and responsive. The place was even nicer in person than the photos. It was spotless, thoughtfully prepared, and had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend stay. Although it was quite cold outside, the home was cozy and warm, clearly well insulated, and the wood-burning stove was such a treat. "The house is in a great location and has beautiful lake views! We had a great time staying here with our friends for a long weekend. Close to many state parks with beautiful hikes, no shortage of waterfalls and wineries. The property has private well water so took a little creative showering with our group of 7 and the hot water wasnt working the first night but it was an easy fix and the hosts were quick to respond. "

"Had a perfect, snowy weekend at the Herb Cottage. Amazing location, loved the wood burning fire place, DVD collection and loft bedroom. Highly recommend for a Woodstock getaway. "

"A beautiful view. The host was very kind and there was stuff to get us through the first day (shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, etc.) There is currently no dishwasher or laundry machines so you should pack with that in mind, or there's laundry mat in town. It's a very quaint space that's perfect for 2 people and maybe a pet if you have one."
