"My disabled husband, our daughter, and I spent the best two nights in Moose Lodge this week. I cannot say enough about how accommodating the owners were. It's always scary going to a new place with a wheelchair but the yurt itself was extremely accessible and the bathroom is definitely ADA. My husband was able to get around in his electric wheelchair and probably could have gone down one of the nearby nature trails if he had wanted to. "This year we kayaked at the Pepacton Reservoir again. We like to visit breweries and distilleries, we visited several in Roscoe. We love the campsite, we will return again. There is so much to do there plus the quietness and intimate setting makes it the perfect vacation. "This campsite was a wonderful stop on our East Coast roadtrip to see friends scattered across the mid-atlantic states! The website description captures most of the details--most important to us was a friendly responsive host who was flexible with our arrival (gave detailed directions and instructions) and welcomed us personally when we arrived, well organized systems and spaces, a comfortable sleep (the beds and bedding in the tents were great), and a hot shower. The "extras" not so easily seen...

"The owner made it clear in advance that there was basically no facilities. That was no problem for me. I was well prepared and had an enormous field to myself. The owner provided a huge amount of firewood and I enjoyed a nice campfire at night. In the morning, the field was covered in white frosting and wild(?) turkeys was walking through the field. For me, it was a great way to explore the area and avoided most of the eclypse traffic and it was well worth the money!"
