"We have stayed at Brennecke's Beach Cottage many times before and have always enjoyed our stay. The cottage has always been clean at our time of arrival. However, this time we were surprised by the many fun additions that have been made, such as a new, safer staircase with handrails leading to the front door, indoor fans in each room, and a new walk-in shower in the primary bathroom. "This place was perfection! It was exactly what we were looking for- peaceful and relaxing. Our host Pele (the cat ) met us when we arrived, guided us up the stairs (that aren’t that bad), and was a pleasure to have around. In all seriousness, Gus was very responsive and helpful and we are very thankful that he offers his little piece of paradise for others to experience. "

"This cottage felt like our very own Fern Gully! It was beautiful, inviting, had great amenities (we especially loved the faux fireplace). My only feedback would be that the bed could be a little more comfortable. But otherwise, no complaints!"

"Wonderful cottage nestled in a rainforest setting, far back from the road. It was clean, comfortable, ample towels and bedding/blankets. Every room had night lights and switches were clearly labeled. Perfect for two couples, matching en-suite bedrooms. And so close to Hawaii Volcanoes NP, made it easy for us to be there early. Sorry we didn't plan a longer stay. "

"It was the perfect size for me and my spouse. There was construction happening during business hrs, but they weren’t too loud. We loved how close the cottage was to the beach. The lanai was the best part: eating our meals with the ocean breeze. If we had to complain about something, we would say that it does get warm in the cottage. We loved our stay-and seriously considered asking if we could stay longer. “LLC” had everything we needed and more-we were able to cook all our meals in a delightfully comfortable setting. Coqui frogs, though invasive, were a lovely treat to fall asleep to at night. We were unbelievably close to Volcanoes NP, for the fountaining lava and close enough to summit Mauna Kea!
