Jamás me vuelvo a quedar ahí

Llevaba 8 años llegando a este hotel y recomendándolo entre familiares y amistades, esta ultima visita me dejó claro que será la última: mala actitud de servicio en la persona de recepción, las habitaciones y baños viejos, con el piso deteriorado y corroído, las sabanas y cochas manchadas y viejas, se ve claramente que le falta mantenimiento a todo el hotel, ya no cuidan la privacidad y descanso del huésped, no ponen nada de shampoo ni jabón y a veces hasta las toallas se les olvidan poner en el baño, hay cucarachas en las habitaciones, y el servicio de desayuno que ofrecían anteriormente era delicioso, ahora está espantoso! se ve un recorte de presupuesto muy drástico pero los precios al cliente siguen siendo los mismos. Nunca regresaría al Mosquito Beach, Lo peor de todo es que ya NO tiene playa, se la ha comido el mar, y ese era uno de sus mayores atractivos.

Hotel muy descuidado

Muy poco personal pero agradable, fotos muy bellas pero la realidad esta muy descuidado, le falta mucho mantenimiento, la habitación y el baño olían bastante a humedad y muy poca iluminación. Muy fea playa, no se puede nadar en el mar y tiene muy poco, casi nada espacio de arena.

Bueno por la ubicación

La alberca tiene 1.80 de profundidad y se encuentra sucia el agua, por eso nadie nos metíamos a la alberca, en lo general es poco recomendable

Empezando por que el cuarto que reservamos no fue el que nos dieron después me toco la habitacion 215, para empezar la llave electronica que me dieron no abria la puerta, tuvo que venir el personal del hotel y después de varios intentos pudieron abrir. El marco de la puerta del baño estaba todo despegado y se estaba cayendo, la taza del baño toda amarilla y vieja. En general el cuarto muy decadente y sucio.

Infested with Bugs!!!!!!

My room at the Mosquito beach hotel was infested with bugs. When I asked reception if I could switch rooms, they told me all of their rooms had a bug problem. Additionally, the room was dirty and dusty with soiled linens. I would never stay here again.

Las imágenes prometieron demasiado

El hotel está muy bien ubicado y hace algunos años debe haber sido muy lindo. Actualmente, se encuentra muy descuidado, poco personal, limpieza poco prolija. En la primera habitación que nos asignaron no se podía estar por el olor a humedad que estaba impregnado hasta en el colchón, sin ventanas, la pintura del baño con hongos y levantada. La siguiente habitación a la que nos cambiaron estaba un poco mejor, porque como estaba en el segundo piso se podía abrir el ventanal para ventilar. El hotel está ubicado frente a una zona de playa lleno de algas que nadie limpia, y el agua es justo acceso de entrada de lanchas y motos. El pedazo de arena que queda frente al club de playa es muy angosto y sirve de paso, por lo que no se puede estar ahí. Los camastros están pegadisimos unos a otros, amontonados. El servicio de comida en el club es lento debido a la falta de personal, y caro, sobretodo considerando la amplia y abundante oferta que hay en la zona. El club deja de funcionar a las 9, pero lo bueno es que se puede estar en ese espacio después de horario (cada uno puede llevar algo para tomar y comer frente al mar). Eso si, buscando platos a esa hora, el funcionario del hotel que nos ayudo abrió todos los muebles del club y pudimos ver la falta de salubridad con que manejan la loza y los utensilios de cocina, incluyendo cucarachas adentro de los muebles.

AVOID!!! Dirty and full of bugs

I was very disappointed with the Mosquito beach hotel. To put it simply - the place was DIRTY!!!! When I checked into my room I found a take-out container full of food in the closet. There was dust everywhere. The room was also full of tiny flying insects that bite. When I went to reception to ask if there was another room available, he said that they have a problem with bugs in every room! His only solution was to send a maid to our room with a can of insect repellent. Gross - no thanks. Sleeping in a cloud of raid is no better than sleeping with bugs. I was bitten up beyond belief - there are tiny red bug bites all over my arms, legs and chest. Our trip included stops all over Playa del Carmen and the whole Yucitan. The only place where I was bitten by bugs was in my room at this hotel. We swatted the bugs ourselves and left the smears of dead bug bodies on the walls and ceiling. When housekeeping came and went the next day, the bug carcarsses were still there - they didn't clean anything!!!! Housekeeping also didn't change the towels or sheets. As far as I can tell, the only thing they do it empty the trash. The attached restaurant served good food but the service was dishonest. They presented the bill with an enormous service charge attached to it. When I asked about the service fee later at reception they told me it was optional. The waiter did not say it was optional - so that left us feeling like we had been taken advantage of.

I never comment on this type of websites but for this horrible stay I had to warn you because it's not worth the money you pay .This hotel Its like a 2 star hotel . Very dirty and very old . The pillows had holes and the bed sheets where stained and riped . The bathroom walls where very stained and the glass of the shower was like if it hasn't been cleaned in ages . The room had a horrible smell . The air conditioner floaded the room because it's a cheap quality even if they "fixed it " it will still break every day . Floor was full of hair and dust even in the sink there was still hair from the previous guest which was very disgusting. The toilet not cleaned at all very stained . EVERYTHING Dirty ! It needs a renovation ASAP and a better Housekeeping team . The location is great but the rest it's very bad.

Decepcionante hotel en la Playa

Habitación muy pequeña, muy cara para lo que es. El piso de madera descuidado, viejo, el closer sucio, el a/a ruidoso y no se puede controlar la temperatura, el frito bar tenía jugos caducados en el interior, descuidado y sucio, el baño igual sucio, la puerta de la regadera rota, los empaques del cristal de la regadera rotos. El desayuno de muy mala calidad, los chilaquiles duros, sin sabor, los jugos no son naturales y de muy mal sabor, el bufete con muy pocas opciones. La alberca sucia, una persona de limpieza estaba lavando el piso alrededor de la alberca y aventada el agua sucia adentro de la alberca. En fin, muy mala experiencia, arrepentidos de haber elegido este hotel, no lo recomendamos.

Beach access, unique pool and centrally located

Overall a very good experience. The design and amnesties where good and staff was excellent. The breakfast buffet was marginal as was the rest of the food offering but there are many restaurants within 2 minutes walking distance. There is free Wi-Fi too that worked throughout the property. The hotel is in a pedestrian zone, there is absolutely no parking. You can choose street parking or pay for private parking 2 blocks away. Not suitable for families with kids, pool is very deep and no play area available.

Brilliant hotel

BEST location in playa! Surrounded by shops, restaurants, bars, nightlife and above all the best beach in the world! The direct beach access is well worth money for a 5th Ave hotel. Beach club is the best, service is exceptional and the food and cocktails are amazing. Hotel staff were outstanding, extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms a well appointed, although the square toilets are a little out there! Best holiday I've ever had, I will be back!

Las tazas de los baños son cuadradas demasiado incómodas, la alberca tiene una profundidad de 1.88 mts y como dato al momento de hacer el Check-in te hacen una retención de 500 pesos por noche y al momento del check-out hay que solicitar la cancelación.

Me parece un hotel muy caro para los servicios que ofrece, habitación muy pequeña y algo fundamental en cualquier hotel contar con estacionamiento y este no tiene por lo que hay que buscar en la calle a tres cuadras de distancia o en un privado cuya tarifa es elevada, definitivamente invitado a no regresar.
