I rarely leave negative reviews, but this resort experience was so frustrating that I feel obligated to warn others.
Three out of five people in our group became sick for more than half of our stay, and the only common factor was the food and drinks at the resort. What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation turned into days of stomach issues—something no guest should have to deal with.
The automatic lights in the room were a nightmare, constantly shutting off even while I was using the restroom. Waving my arms in the dark is not my idea of a luxury stay.
Getting around the resort was just as bad. The property is huge, yet the shuttles were unreliable, rarely stopping for checked-in guests, and often displaying “check-in/check-out” signs that meant they wouldn’t pick anyone up. We were dismissed multiple times, leading to long, exhausting walks in the heat just to get food or meet our group.
The buffet hours were extremely limited, leaving no food options for hours if you didn’t have a reservation. When it was open, the food was mediocre, not fresh, and many stations were left unattended, which is especially concerning given how many of us got sick.
Room service was no help, with hour-long delays for basic items.
On top of that, the resort feels almost entirely catered to weddings, with blocked-off sections and constant disruptions that make regular guests feel like an afterthought.
And if you’re hoping for nightlife, there is none. The resort becomes completely dull
