Curtis is definitely a 5 star host. He predicted our needs prior to our arrival. He contacted me prior to our arrival, making suggestions of near by restaurants and was prompt with respose through our stay. We also appreciated the late check out due to our late flight. The apartment is wonderfully decorated and comfortable. The coffee pods were greatly appreciated also!I agree with a prior review, a throw blanket for the couch would be an added bonus. I disagree with a prior review that the train station is close by. While it may be walking distance, it is not an area that i would want to walk in the dark. So keep in mind, if you do not rent a car, you will be using Uber & Lyft. If you do have a rental car, there's plenty of space for parking. Curtis is a wonderful host with a lovely home!

This home was very clean, modern and in a great location. Curtis was very communicative and even sent restaurant recommendations. This location was perfect as we took a short drive to the train station where we parked and boarded the train to Salem. Super fast and easy! This location was also a short drive to North Boston where we had the most delish Italian food. I'm so glad we found rhis gem in Boston, we will definitely be back and book with Curtis! Thank you again.

Our stay at this property went well. The owner was very friendly and checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. There are a few items that would help make the property a little more homey such as throw blankets for the living room, ensuring coffee pods are available, and a cutting board in the kitchen as we cooked at home a couple nights. I would encourage individuals interested in staying to research the area and have a plan for transportation. It is a little further from the city of Boston than we anticipated, but a 1 mile walk will get you to the train stop. Using public transportation is very inexpensive - you'll want to map out where you want to go so you can align with the transportation schedule but you can easily make it to all areas of the city on the train, subway, or bus. The beds are firm but comfortable. The washing machine is in the living room area, so plan to do laundry when you're not watching TV - the provided laundry pods were much appreciated! We enjoyed our stay and had a great time exploring Boston and Salem - be prepared to get your steps in if you're visiting for the first time :)

Very clean, well maintained, parking in front of home, easy access to property. Curtis (host) provided clear instructions on access to the property and what to do at check out. We arrived around dinner time so he sent us several recommendations restaurant and market locations in the area. Thank you Curtis for a home away from home.

Curtis’ place is great, just as described. Very clean, obviously newly renovated. We used it as our hub to go on day trips to Boston, Providence, Newport, Quincy and it was a great place to come back to. Beds are insanely comfortable - best we’ve ever experienced on any trip anywhere. Curtis was very communicative, accommodating, and thoughtful. Was a wonderful place to stay.

Needed a place to stay as we joined family and friends.

The apartment was clean and there were always parking spaces on the street right outside the door. Worked great as a homeport for a couple of days.

Here to visit my daughter

Curtis was great. He was very helpful with suggestions of places to eat. Brought my senior parents to visit my daughter. Very clean accommodations, great parking . The only suggestion is to have a handrail to assist down the stairs. I would recommend this property to someone looking to stay outside of Boston.

Curtis was very friendly and available. We only used it for sleeping and showering. My wife had only one issue and that was about stripping the beds before we left. She thought that was what the cleaning fee was for.

Quiet and clean

Curtis was great to work with and this location was very quiet, clean, and my daughter and I felt safe. It is a basement apartment which I wasn’t expecting but it was nicely updated and had a lot of outside light. Usually I am concerned about parking, but spaces were available at the front door all 5 nights. A rental or Uber is recommended, as the location isn’t super walkable. Overall, very happy with my stay.

The property was clean, comfortable and the owner was very attentive. The apartment was pretty new and everything worked well. It was nice having the kitchen, washer, dryer, and dishwasher for a longer stay.

Fidèle à l’annonce et propre. Très bien équipé. Hôte répond rapidement et s’est informé que tout soit ok. Temps estimé en distance probablement calculé sans le traffic. Nous nous sommes déplacés en métro c’était plus simple. Par contre, je n’aurais pas été à l’aise de me déplacer à pied seul dans le quartier en soirée.

End part of three month road trip.

Great location we parked the car for all but one day and took the train in to Boston, and left car parked at house. Railway Station was about 10-15 minute walk and seven day train ticket was $11 each and it took about 15-20 minutes to get in to South Station in Boston which is as near the centre of Boston as you need. My wife and I are in our mid 70's and we walked every were we wanted to go from this station. People are so friendly the guard on the train was telling us places to visit and he even took us out side of south station and pointed which way to go. The guard told us about the Modern Bakery in the North End and the fresh cannoli are to die for. The apartment was just as described, plenty of room in living dinning area and two large bedrooms. Plenty of storage areas and large walk in robes in each room. The owner manager was great lived on site and was always available if required. We requested that temp parameters to be changed on air-conditioner and this was done straight away. As we had parked car on street, he informed us that we would have to move it for street cleaning, we moved it into drive while we went into town and moved it out a left it outside on street outside of apartment. The owner gave us the names of some good restaurants to try out, one of which was Abby Park which I highly recommend great staff and food. This apartment is well worth staying at, If I was back in the area I would certainly use it again Highly recommend this property and owner. Rod

Boston Vacation

A few small issues when we first got there but they were resolved quickly. Curtis was very responsive. Apartment is great and all updated. Cool for the hot summer days. Everything you need. In the basement you do hear the folks upstairs but they were usually quiet by 10:00. No real issues. Would stay here again.

Boston Trip

I’ve not driven in Boston and I did not know the area. The apartment is not too far from the city as the crow flies. However, driving in the city and surrounding areas is nuts. If you are directionally challenged, it’s hard to see the street signs let alone all the lefts and rights you have to take to get there. I would recommend just staying with Lyft or some other service. The streets are very narrow and often one way with cars on both sides of the street. The apartment was clean and suited our needs. The owner was very accommodating when we could not get the door unlocked. He repaired it quickly and everything was fine. Had all the amenities that we needed. There was a bodega nearby and some good restaurants about 10 minutes or so away.
