This hotel is a walking distance or short Uber ride to lots of attractions like BoKaap, v&a waterfront, district 6 museum, castle of good hope and also a short walk to the main train/bus station. "Overall, great accommodation. Nice place to stay. However, unfortunately we came on a day they had a power issue. We checked in before 1700. After a long flight, with no power, we had no hot water to shower, no lights to see in the room, unable to watch tv, and unable to plug in our devices. The staff was apologetic. I was initially a bit worried about staying at a hostel with my family (including kids ages 10 and 13), but it did not have the 20-something hosteler vibe that I remember from backpacking in my youth.
