Formal Complaint and Refund Request – Unacceptable Apartment Conditions (Paris Booking)
Dear Expedia Customer Service Team,
I am writing to formally complain about our recent stay in Paris, which we booked via Expedia (apartment booking for three people, three nights).
Unfortunately, the apartment was in a completely unacceptable condition and did not meet the standards promised in the listing. Due to the severity of the issues, we are requesting a refund.
Major issues during our stay:
* The apartment was booked for three people, but there were only two pillows and one single French duvet for the entire apartment.
* The sofa bed in the living room was in extremely poor condition and could barely be pulled out.
* The bed mattress was severely worn out and sagging, causing all of us significant back pain.
* One guest had to sleep without a blanket for three nights, using only her own sweater and a towel.
* There was visible mold on the bathroom ceiling above the shower and severe mold around the living room window.
* The apartment had a strong, unbearable smell, including sewage odor coming from the drain.
* Due to these conditions, all three of us became ill during the stay.
We were in constant contact with the apartment’s guest services throughout our stay. Unfortunately:
* We were repeatedly given false assurances that the issues would be resolved.
* No effective action was taken.
