My kids LOVED the space! There were a few cosmetic things wrong like the automatic shade was broken without notice BUT I just figured it happened right before our stay. We checked in the night before Thanksgiving. It was such a convient spot to just walk 1/2 a block to 6th Ave to view the parade the next morning. The whole time we were there we felt centrally located to all the things we wanted to do! My son thought the bathtub room was incredible! He legit felt like Kevin from Home Alone! The history of the place is super cool too. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to any one. This building is OLD so you've got to keep that in mind. It's beautiful though!

Location is awesome. Off 5th ave, near Bryant park and really not a bad walk to time square or Central Park. Apartment is kind of awkward. It’d be nice if the bath tub area had a shower as well if you have more than 2 guests. Warm water, not hot. Not a lot of room in the bedroom to situate bags. Sunblocker on the main window was broke. Futons were ok for me to sleep on, but I could see people finding them uncomfortable. No response from host when I asked them questions. I’d say sleeps 2 adults comfortably

Exceptional apartment in an excellent location. Spacious and updated, it's a perfect place to relax between activities, spend time before your night out, and come back for a night cap with a view of the city. Host was very communicative and even allowed for early check in with us coming from out of town. Very amenable and friendly, will absolutely be staying here again!

The apartment itself is magnificent and the location couldn't be better for anything you need. There are corner delis, there are bars, there are restaurants there's food of every culture and ethnic background and as always the best of New York City..

The property was as the photos showed however the “sleeps 4-6” is questionable. The 2 fold out sofas are tiny but we made do. The biggest complaint I have is after repeated messages about a broken air conditioner the owner chose to ignore my questions rather than respond to my concerns. The apartment stayed at 79-80 degrees the entire stay which made it very uncomfortable at night. I understand that systems can break but not communicating when we are paying good money is very disappointing.

The apartment was beautiful. Very comfortable. In an excellent position in the city. One of the futon fold outs was comfortable. The other was extremely firm. The apartment itself was clean. The building is old and could use a refresh. The laundry is not in the apartment. We couldn't figure out how to get the jets to work in the jacuzzi tub. In the description it talks about the city view. It doesn't really have a view of the city. You have a view of the buildings that are very close to you. The elevators were a little bit of a challenge. One elevator goes to the floor of the apartment and the second elevator only goes to the floor of below it. So, when you are checking in and out make sure you choose the right one. Otherwise you will need to cart your luggage up a flight of stairs. There were no washcloths. These were all minor things. All-in-all we enjoyed our stay.

Outstanding location. The place was clean and spacious. The air conditioning did not work very well. Fortunately when we checked in, there was a man at the reception desk who let us in. The code to enter the building we received was “the old code” and it had changed. He gave us the new code and also gave us the code to the penthouse. We didn’t see anyone in the lobby for the rest of our stay, so thank goodness it worked out he was there. The host did not respond to any questions before or during the stay.

The location is awesome it is a great spot for that. However Ac does not work. As mentioned in many reviews! The ice machine does not work as mentioned in many reviews! The hot water gets warm but not hot so the hot tub jacuzzi is a waste. They left old soap In bathroom that’s gross. New soap was provided just not sure why old was left behind ? Better spots Around for this price point m. Zero communication from host!
Set on 69 for 24 hours nothing open windows no screens so bugs enter!
No ice turned on got hot so turned off

This penthouse’s location was amazing, but it was advertised that it had AC, a working jacuzzi and they were not working at all. Dishes and cups were dirty. There was a construction out the window in the bedroom that made a chiseling noise at night time, I had to close the windows, but AC was working. The humidifier was the only source of cool air. The two humidifier were not enough to keep us cool. One of the couches were broken in the middle. There were no enough towels for 4 people. Never mind the blankets because was lost. There were pictures missing in the walls and place needs to removed.

Positives:-Place was beautiful and clean, bed was comfortable, great location and walking distance to everything.Negatives:-Owner rarely responded to any of my messages and was very difficult to get questions answered and problems resolved. Temps for the week we stayed were in the 90’s, and we had no AC until the night before we left. Portable unit in penthouse is not big enough for a room that size and runs off ice…ice machine didn’t work . They gave us extra towels for our family of 5, but wasn’t able to get a single washcloth the whole time we were there. Also, we were given the wrong code to enter the building. Luckily there was someone there able to let us in and give us the correct code.

Great location, nice and tidy place, easy to fit 5 people with 2 on the bed and one on each couch. Downsides: little soundproofing, A/C didn’t work too well and sometimes had loud rattling.

The penthouse was really lovely! I booked the space for a small group of friends to have a place to hang out and spend an extra night in the city after a work conference. Everyone remarked on how lovely and comfortable the space was! Check-in was very easy and the host gave us all the info we needed for a smooth arrival.

The location is fantastic - easy to get to just about everything and the space you get compared to a hotel room is great. There are two futons in the living room. Two small people might be able to sleep on one, but probably not comfortably. The second futon cannot sleep two, unless maybe they're young kids. We lost water for half of our stay - as did some of the other units in the building - and had to use the bathroom in the adjacent restaurant. This was not ideal, but luckily, we were out most of the time. This was also an issue noted in another review. Check-in was easy with the access details sent ahead of time by message. However, response time for other communication was sometimes slow. I am still awaiting a response to a review of being overcharged for my stay. It was brought to the host's attention over 3 months ago and my 4 follow up status checks have gone unanswered. If not for the lack of response to the overcharge issue, I'd no doubt return and recommend this place.

The place is beautiful and big (both are hard to find in NYC). The location was in walking distance to Times Square and our shows. The host is a bit slow to respond but we did not have an urgent request (just a noise that was pretty loud ... it was never resolved during our stay. The ice maker doesn't work (FYI) ... we would loved to have it but not a big deal. The loft has the king sized bed and the other two beds were pull out couches (pretty comfy) in the main area. If you rent this, note that one elevator goes to the PH and one goes to the 12th floor where you walk up to the PH level. I highly recommend this place.
