Booked it because the location proximity within LA, but the area directly around the hotel really doesn’t get much going on.
Room is spacious and relatively clean, but maybe because I got a ground level room, there were random bugs/spider seen a few times.
HAVE to request for housekeeping, but when trying to dial the phone for over a good 5 minutes and nobody picked up (this is before 1100am ish?)
Went to the reception after, who told us it has to be pre-requested and that they will try their best to get to it (this is still before noon), and if not they will at least replenish the toiletries/towels, which I said is really what I looked for. Came back to the hotel later around 5pm, nobody ever came 🙃
Called the line again and this time someone picked up, and about 15mins later staff brought it over.
Okay that sounds like a petty complaint but I’m sick of this lack of effort in housekeeping since Covid, and I 100% understand the trying to save the planet effort. But when I specifically requested and was promised that it will be done, I expected it, especially in a 4 stars Hilton chain… also, no cookie, I’m pathetically a little sad about that 😂
Anyway, it’s not horrible or bad experience, but not good enough and I unlikely will stay again as there’re many other options in the area or just central LA in general.
