We drove for a long time to Liverpool. We got to the hotel at about 10:00pm and I just parked my car outside the hotel for a very shot time and went in to ask where the nearest car park was. The girl told me it was about 3 mins away and never mentioned about overbooking. So I parked my car and walked to the hotel. The reception told me it was overbooked, so they need to relocate me to another hotel. We waited for about 1 hour and they put us in the Pullman Hotel by the river and they said they will cover the transport. So they called a taxi but it didn’t turn up after 40 minute wait. During the 40 minutes, I have spoken to the reception a few times about getting a uber, but they said no, because they can only give me money back if I take a taxi from Delta. So we waited another 20 minutes, no taxi turned up. In the end, I took a Uber as it’s nearly 12:00am. We were too tired. And the car park where I parked my car overnight charged me £13 and they refused to pay for that.
PS: The reason why I didn’t drive to the Pullman was because I wasn’t familiar with Liverpool, and I had been driving for 5 hours, it was snowing, dark, wet and I was too tired.
The hotel is a new hotel, suppose the room could be nice, but the service is awful! Wouldn’t stay there again!
