"Close to the airport, like the closest! Someone available for a late check in and easy to check out. Just very convenient. Lots of uber eats options near by and some places to eat within walking distance in the day. "

"Good location, friendly staff, free tasty breakfeast and coffee. They offer a free shutle to the free hot spring/lake. You can use the kitchen to make dinner. They offer transportation from SJO.
The bad aspect is that you can hear every noice, the bed was hard and we could feel the springs, and the interior is old."

One of the best things about staying at hostel chains as a solo traveler is the consistency in quality and service, and this one definitely delivered. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, and I really appreciated how well-organized and enjoyable their activities are (salsa and bachata classes, nature tours, etc.).
The facilities are consistently clean, including the bathrooms, and rooms are cleaned daily along with the beds. Extra points for having...

"I stayed in the 6 person dorms , and the beds were sturdy, so you didn’t wake anyone up by going into the top bunk.
They provide bed sheet which is really nice. There was a bathroom for the room, but it was wet every time someone used the shower. I would recommend to use the shared toilet/outdoor bath. They were of high quality and wonderful to shower with a view and sound of nature from the shower cabin.
The hostel is right in the city, perfect location and with easy access to walking...
