"The family is so friendly! They greeted us upon our arrival even though it was raining really hard. The cabin we stayed in was perfect. It had everything you need and it was super private. The view from the bed was a $1M view. You could actually see the ocean from the top of the mountain. And you have to do the tour of the farm. It was absolutely worth it. What an amazing family and such rich heritage. I highly recommend. And super close to a cool town."

"Hidden down a dirt road awaits a rural escape. This was a great place to stay, comfortable, private and surrounded by nature. The location is only a 15 minute drive to La Fortuna and a 5 minute walk to the grocery store. Our Host responses were prompt and we highly recommend."

"We had a great few days at Finga Manclar. The staff looked after us very well. We went full board and we had excellent local food. We also did most of the trips with Luis which were great fun - tubing, fishing, mangrove tour, waterfall, horse riding. Rooms don't have A/C but the fans were good. Make sure you bring plenty of beers and mosquito spray for sitting out on the veranda chillaxing. "This listing was exactly as pictured, and we loved the large picture windows that let in the wonderfully cool breeze. That made the whole experience. There were construction projects going on, but they weren’t disruptive to the experience."

"The farmhouse is OK. Host is very friendly and helpful. But the second night we didn't have hot water at all and found a pretty big scorpion and a tarantula on the wall and on the ceiling."

"The property was well maintained and had all the modern facilities. We loved the area and the amazing daily breakfast. The staff was very nice and accommodating especially Jessica at the front desk. We did wish that the restaurant on site was open until later as we had to drive into the city of La Fortuna to get meals. The chocolate tour was amazing and a fun family activity.
