"Ideally situated for an overnight stay if walking the South Downs Way. Excellent Sunday lunch - we could understand why it was popular! The Landlord was very helpful in providing the best route to re join the South Downs Way the following morning. Unfortunately the nearby cafes were not open for breakfast on Monday - The Green Welly doesn't open and The Nutmeg doesn't open on Bank holidays! We resorted to buying two baguettes from The White Lion and having them for breakfast and lunch!"

I will accede that the immediate area around the building itself looks a little unkempt and unloved but if you look beyond that to the property and the facilities it's a very different ball game!
Everything inside was clean, the reception area, bar, restaurant and the room, which was surprisingly spacious with a nice comfy bed and a nice, bright, clean bathroom....

"Great stay! We were not expecting too much based on the price but we were wrong. Natalie (I’m sure thats right) on reception greeted us and had some great tips for us on the local area (and Disney! Thanks for those too). The room was large and clean. Tv was excellent. Ceiling fan was a god send. Pool area very nice and refreshing after a hot day. Can’t even fault the buffet breakfast which was very tasty. Would most definitely stay again in in the area. Thanks!"
