"This is our favorite resort and we return year after year. One trip with my wife and I and one trip with my two kids and their significant others. It is hilarious that every year my son Jack gets the chocolate covered strawberries and champagne that is intended for my room. We are planning on returning next year to enjoy the pool, food, and fun atmosphere."

"Although this is an "Adults Only" resort, be ready to deal with the obnoxiously drunk 17 to 20 year olds ruining the experience for the more mature crowds. And yes, we did confirm these kids ages. Shame on the parents and resort management allowing this to happen....."

"Huge property. Lots of walking. Buffet at the Palace was excellent. Restaurants were a nice change.
Snorkeling/swimming with turtles was the highlight. Activities staff were awesome.
A dedicated coffee shop and area for quick snacks would be a good addition. "

"Been here about 5 times over the years. Every time it gets better. I don't think I have ever seen any resort of this size and quality before. Everything you could want for a deluxe Caribbean vacation including foods drinks, room service, included mini bar. Clean, safe, relatively quiet. "

"Vi var en familie på 5, der overnattede her 4 natter. Vi kan klart anbefale hotellet. Tæt på virkelig god strand. Der er vel 4-500 meter ad lille grusvej. Fin morgenmad, teltene var i god stand med gode senge. Udover strand og dertilhørende Beach club, ligger hotellet ikke i gå afstand til by og butikker. Så bil anbefales. Vi prøvede ikke restauranten men priserne var til den lidt høje side."

"We really liked the atmosphere, and the place was so authentic.
Unfortunately there is a lot of noise from the traffic on the highway close by. We could hear it all night, and when you sleep in tents it is very annoying.
If the glamping had been closer to the beach it would have been perfect, and the noise would not have been a problem.
Breakfast was good, and the tents were very charming, good beds and nice shower, loved it"

"What a fantastic stay we had at the Barcelo Maya Colonial! We were so impressed by the quick and prompt support we received whenever we needed assistance. When our room had a minor leak, or we needed extra towels, or even a replacement remote control for the TV, the staff responded almost instantly and resolved everything with a smile. It truly made a difference and allowed us to relax without any worries.
