Casa Cosi - Gotico Barcelona

Casa Cosi Gotico is located in a charming pedestrian street in the historic Gotico district, right in the center of the old town. It’s the perfect location to have a taste of the real Barcelona. This beautiful 110m2 apartment has 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds and one with 2 single beds) ) as well as two bathrooms with shower and a fully equipped kitchen. It can accommodate up to 6 persons. Both the dining and living room are spacious and there is also a balcony. Like all Casa Cosi apartments, Casa Cosi Gotico has been completely renovated and furnished in order to create a cozy atmosphere and offer maximum comfort while keeping its authenticity with elements such as “los mosaicos” (typical Spanish earthenware tiles). Whereas it’s with friends or family, you will love staying at Casa Cosi Gotico!

Good location if you want to be right in the hustle of the Gothic District. Walking distance to many sights and stores. Charming and authentic. Washer and dryer which was great. Incredible restaurant right outside the door. Downsides- very noisy at night, the hang out space was in the master bedroom and the stairs to access the apartment were Incredibly narrow, steep, tall, uneven in a dark hallway. Very very difficult to get luggage in and out. If I’d known about these I don’t know if I would have booked. Virtually impossible access for anyone with physical limitations unless you have a very small suitcase and for children.

We loved being in the heart of the city! Perfect amount of space, great kitchen amenities, super easy check in and excellent communication with the property management company. Aside from a little city noise, which is to be expected, it was perfect. We would most definitely stay here again and we highly recommend it.

Cozy indeed!

It is a very large apartment in an excellent location. The beds are comfortable, the showers are great. There are ample places to sit and relax one of those little espresso machines, good towels and shower gel. We stayed four nights and we are sad to leave.

Party of 5

Second trip to Barcelona for us! Brought our young adult children back to enjoy the beautiful city. The place was everything we’d hoped…wonderful setup. All the amenities we needed. We loved being in the heart of the Gothic quarter. The only negative was there seemed to be a neighbors who was generally not happy we were there. We had read the warnings about not using the washer and dryer at night, etc. We were courteous guests. One night we were startled by a loud pounding on our door. It was, at the very least, unnerving. Not sure what can be done, but. If the neighborhood is going to house visitors, somebody needs to get a little more flexible….

Americas Cup weekend visit with friends

I give this a 6/10. The first impression on arrival is not welcoming. Gravity on door(no clear address on door) dark concrete hallway, very steep narrow steps (difficult getting luggage up and down). Taxis drop you off about 2 blocks away(hope it's not raining). Neighbors complained about noise both times we brought our luggage up and down. Entry lock system is unpredictable...had to call host multiple times(she did respond thankfully). Location overall was close to the places we were visiting. Inside, layout is spacious, not fancy, but clean and functional. Everything worked with the exception of the coffee maker! Based on all the things mentioned, we will look for a different location on our next visit.

Big and well equipped apartment in convenient location

The apartment was spacious with high ceilings and big rooms. It was well equipped with modern amenities and full kitchen. Loved that the dining table actually fit everyone staying there. Host was great at communicating when some arrivals were delayed and needed to change the person who would arrive first. Location is a few blocks from the subway and nice bakeries and markets. Gothic quarter is very touristy, but convenient and so pretty!

Great location - BUT…….

I thought long about this review - and what exactly to say. There are good things as well as not so good things about our stay. First, the location is perfect! Right in the middle of everything. The size of the apartment was perfect for my family of 4 adults - you would still be comfortable with a family of 6. Cleanliness was good but the apartment is starting to show wear and tear. Now for the bad. The neighbors do not want you there. We received notes on the door 2 of the 3 nights - the 2nd time complaining of us cooking which we were not. Also was interrupted at midnight complaining we were running the clothes dryer. The code did not work upon arrival. Called the contact number - was disconnected first try and no answer 2nd try. Just pure luck our random tries with the keypad eventually got us in. We were provided 2 keycards but only 1 worked. Lastly was concerned about safety a small amount due to the graffiti on the front door. Email communications worked smoothly during our stay as well as the Vrbo message function in the app so we felt our issues were being addressed. Overall stay was ok but not sure I would use this property again.

Great apartment/great location

Perfect space for our family (kids 20 & 22) to have room to spread out and relax. Great location in the Gothic Quarter, just blocks from Las Ramblas, Mercat de la Boqueria and Placa Real. AC and WiFi worked great and added to the comfort. The steps to the second floor apartment were fine for us but could be tough for those with less mobility. Some have complained about late night noise but we did not have any problems. Casa Cosi were very professional and provided a wonderful app with loads of information. I highly recommend them and this apartment!

Location, Location, Location!!

We stayed at this property for 4 nights. The location was GREAT!!!!! It was on a quaint, narrow street (no cars)... restaurants and shopping nearby (as soon as you walked from the flat onto the street there were cute shops, pastry shops, restaurants, etc.) We loved being in the Gothic Quarter... the architecture was amazing; every corner you turned there was something interesting to look at. Placa Reial was nearby and we frequented the restaurants/bars there... was so nice to hang out there in the evening. Everything we were interested in seeing was within walking distance. The flat was quaint, clean, well appointed, and had kitchen items (dishes, skillets, etc.) so we were able to cook breakfast each morning. My only critique of the property is that the street noise (after midnight) was really loud... so loud I was unable to sleep in the master bedroom (which fronts the street)... 3 of the 4 nights I had to move to the middle bedroom. Luckily this flat had 3 bedrooms, and there were only 3 of us, so I had the option to move. My husband didn't have any problem sleeping in the master. Would I stay in this flat again? Yes, but I would never stay there with more than 4 people, as I would want the option of moving to one of the other bedrooms, if needed.

Perfect location!

The location is absolutely perfect to walk around, get to the metro, walk to the bus station, and easily find restaurants and shops. It was so nice to have all the space in the Casa Cosi for our group. Way better than sharing a hotel room!

Great apartment at a great location

Beautiful apartment in the heart of the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. The apartment was clean and exactly as pictured in the listing. The location is an easy walk to shops and restaurants. I really enjoyed the view of the pedestrian street from the balcony. The stairway in the old building is steep and there is no elevator to access the apartment, so this would not be a good choice for people who have difficulty with steps, but my family found it absolutely perfect. We would definitely stay here again if we ever get back to Barcelona. The hosts were very responsive and helpful when we had questions.

Gothic Quarter Apartment

This property was exactly how it looked in the pictures. Right in the midst of everything! Only 1-2 minute walk to Las Rambles. 5 minute walk to La Boqueria. Right around the corner from multiple plazas with neighborhood restaurants and bars. Such a charming area that helps you imagine what life was like hundreds of years ago!

This is the place to be. And this VRBO apartment is perfectly positioned. Keep in mind this is a popular/noisy area and the front bedroom is up against the street sounds. All worth it.
