"This is a fantastic property, restored beautifully with many fine details. We had a premier room, which was amazing —large and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch in the cafe, drinks in the bar, and dinner at El Quijote, all of which were great. The staff everywhere is extremely friendly.
However, there were a couple of hiccups: there was a lot of almost constant noise right outside our room window from a ventilation pipe. Additionally, we only received turn-down service one...
"We stayed at the Standard Highline for a week from Friday to Saturday. The hotel is centrally located with great shopping, food and beverage offering right outside. However it comes with some drawbacks.
At check-in we were given a room on the 4th floor supposedly far away from the noise from the standards own night club on the top floor however it turned out to be right above the neighbouring Brass Monkey and the music on their rooftop terrace was so loud that we could sing along to the songs...
"The hotel was phenomenal! We were greeting so warmly on arrival and given great dining and neighborhood tips by Ben- who was wonderful. The rooms were beautiful and all aspects of the hotel and dining/ bar spaces were gorgeous and full of character. We enjoyed The Portrait Bar a couple of times and had such fun. We also had breakfast in the restaurant and a spectacular dinner at Cafe Carmellini. I wish I could remember our server’s name because she was top notch.
I will go back to The Fifth...
"Vi blev rigtig glade for Hotel Giraffe, og vi glæder os til at vende tilbage. Personalet var søde og yderst hjælpsomme. Vi kunne godt lide indretningen og stilen på værelset. Det var dejligt med de grønne indslag, både i vasen og som potteplante - det ses sjældent på hotelværelser, men det gav en dejlig stemning.
Der er en 24/7 snack station i lobbyen med kaffe/te/vand, frugt, kage etc., som vi var meget glade for. Det var dejligt at kunne tage en kop kaffe og en kage med op på værelset, når...

Exclusive service, and a big thanks to Gaby. She helped me, upgrading my room for at better view over Hudson Yard. The size of the room was great, and the location of the hotel the best. The bathrooms were amazing, and especially the main, with both shower and bathtub with a fine view."

"Hotellets lobby er under ombygning, hvor det er et kedeligt indtryk, man får ved ankomst. Hotellet ser slidt ud. Værelset og badeværelset er dog rene. Sengelinned nyt og pænt. I modsætning til tidligere besøg har de ikke roomservice, hvilket var årsagen til vores valg af hotel, så det var en skuffelse. Det føles ikke som et 4 stjernet hotel."
"Aircondition virkede ikke i ene værelse. Vi gjorde flere gange opmærksompå dette uden at det blev ordnet. Ene nat blev værelse ikke rengjort - og irdet rengjort meget forkert da der ikke blev rengjort overhovedet"

Saturday morning we asked to be moved to another room and they gave us a room on the 7th floor still facing the Brass monkey but further away. Saturday night Brass Monkey was slightly better but still very loud and once the brass monkey music stopped at 2 am we could hear and feel the pounding of the drum and base from the Standards own penthouse club until 4am. :-(
Sunday there was still music but the stopped early because of the rain. Monday to Wednesday it was great with no music and thursday and Friday night it was again loud music.
So if you are a light sleeper this is not the hotel for you. The Staff were very friendly and tried to help us however it is a bit of a Las Vegas experience.

"We stayed for 5 nights. The location is really good. However we stayed in the deluxe studio 5 people. And it is not deluxe. It was okay and I guess you get what you pay for. B
The beddings seemed old and some had holes and stains on.
The kitchen was really bad regarding equipment, there were for example only a 1 wineglass, 1 champagneglass and three beer glasses, no “normal” glass! So we had to buy some since we were 5 people staying there. We asked for some, but they just told us they all were broken!
