The views were spectacular, and there was also a bakery and grocery store steps from the apartment which was really convenient—especially for our first morning there."

"Our stay at Guesthouse Forty Four was amazing from start to finish. The location is right in the centre of the old town so was very convenient and the premises were very clean and comfortable. However, most of all the customer service is outstanding with all staff members going the extra mile to welcome us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Special shoutout to Stan who was so lovely and really made us feel right at home. This was the best service I have experienced anywhere....

"This is absolutely a hidden gem in Dubrovnik. Tucked just a few steps away from all the attractions in the Old City, it felt like an oasis of calm and luxury. The Byron is immaculately maintained and sparkling clean. Everything about is spoke of care and great attention to detail. The owner made our arrival extremely smooth and gave us excellent recommendations on restaurants and a museum we weren’t even aware of that we loved.

We would stay again, however two things to note- for attic room you have to step across staircase to get to room from living room, we kind of got used to it but it was a safety hazard. And on checkout day we were told to leave our luggage in a back room that had no lock, not ideal but fine, and when we came back our suitcases were left in reception...

"The place is newly renovated and clean.
It is inside the walled Old Town and walkable to most tourist spots, shops, and eating spots. The location is close to the main street and does not involve a lot of steps going to the hotel (Dubrovnik is a city of steps/stairs, just FYi) but has some stairs inside going to the room. Just ask to be dropped off by the Ploce gate. The service is great, they respond to my inquiries promptly. Excellent stay overall."
