"The Venice is a charismatic - if a bit tacky - hotel in the heart of Shenzhen, it's situated almost directly on top of the the most central part of the subway providing easy access to the most interesting areas of Shenzhen as well as being close to the primary business area of Hi-Tech Park. The facilies are certainly not lacking and at times may seem a bit too glamourous, even. The staff are proficient at English and perfectly understandable, which for China is a huge plus."

"I will not be returning to this place. I was not informed before the booking of the huge construction they have going on. My room was literally in the middle of a construction site. The noise should according to the hotel be from 9-12 and 14-19. The few times I wanted to relax in the hotel room in the mentioned hours, I instantly regretted. It was simply impossible to be there with the noise. Two mornings they even started around 8! I requested a partial refund at the information desk, but they...

Staff were exceedingly polite and professional going out of their way to help a foreigner navigate food delivery and to locate the Chinese address for places I needed to DiDi for business. If I have one criticism, as seemingly with all hotels in China, a the lack of vegetarian items at breakfast."
