First time in Puerto Rico – enjoyable stay overall
This was my first visit to Puerto Rico, and I stayed at MetroArt Hotel for a total of four nights, split across two separate visits. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience with both positives and areas for improvement.
Pros
• Spacious rooms
• Large TV screen
• Ice bucket provided
• Complimentary toiletries
• Communal coffee, ice, and water machines
• Rooftop jacuzzi, hot tub, and seating areas
Location
• Well-kept park directly opposite the hotel
• Restaurants and places to eat very close by
• Lively area, though slightly rundown in places
Balcony Room Experience
While the balcony room had potential, there were a few drawbacks:
• Room required a deep clean
• Very noisy due to lift usage (operating almost 20 hours a day)
• Communal ice and water machines backed onto the balcony, causing constant noise
• Only three hangers provided in the wardrobe
• Shower water was only lukewarm
Overall Thoughts
MetroArt has the potential to be a solid 4-star hotel with a few improvements — particularly higher cleaning standards and the addition of a fridge and coffee-making facilities in the room. Complimentary bottled water on check-in would also be a nice touch.
Would I stay again?
Yes, I would stay at MetroArt again, but I would request a room away from the lift. Hopefully, on my next visit, additional amenities will have been added.
