This is a hotel clearly catered to accommodating large city events. That's what Marriott does. But the JW impressed me. This 20-some-floor structure gives countless nods to SFs pleasing art deco style, is centrally located but a moment from Union Square, restaurants, high-end shoppping (check out Maiden Lane), parking, and transportation, and boasts stunning, omg!! views of the city. Talking bedding, in my Premier King I was wrapped up cozy in Todd Avery Lenahan rich cotton duvets with my head atop pillows of the same. My sleep was quiet, soothing, and uninterrupted. (NB: I was on the 20th. floor) Talking bathroom, mine had a lovely shower with plush-ish towels to dry. Overall, the warm-toned wood paneled armoire, the clean, crisp white bathroom, and the furniture appointment and layout of this room scored high points with me in terms of design AND utility. So, chapeau, JW. I live in SF.
Talking COVID - See their COVID protocols. They were in place when I stayed. Hotel goers and staff alike were wearing masks and respecting social distancing.
