"Exactly what my boyfriend and I wanted for a summer trip, we hung out by the swim up bar and beach and just enjoyed the amazing food and service at Excellence. The Indian food at Basmati and sushi at Spice were to die for. The breakfast at The Lobster House, a total hit. And the kiwi margs ended up being the drink of the weekend! "This place as just okay. We stayed in an elite room which gave us butler service. Our butler, Roman, took hours to respond, gave us incorrect dinner reservation times and was overall underwhelming. The pools were warm? Literally felt like bath water which is not what you expect in Mexico. Espically when the beaches are full of seaweed. We spent most of the time off resort due to this. "Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing from beginning to end. On the first night, the air conditioning in my room did not work, making it very uncomfortable to sleep. I reported the issue to the front desk, but they did not offer to move me to another room. In addition, there was no hot water, which made the experience even worse. I also had an unpleasant experience at the adults-only pool. I was told that I could not stay in that area, yet at the same time there was another adult...

"I have mixed feelings about this resort. The location on the beach is good and the hotel as such is also nicely done. However, it failed the 'towel test' Every morning at 6 am people are reserving sunbeds that they then dont use. Also there is constant 'entertainment' and way too much alcohol flowing which creates a spring break atmosphere, but with most guests being in their 50s. Very odd environment to be honest and not at all relaxing. Having said that the staff is generally nice and service...
