Even though there is a private area on the beach, the water is not very clear. We used the indoor/outdoor pool instead but the AC in the indoor section broke and it became unbearably hot. Even though we complained, they didn't fix it for 3 days.

Warm recommendation for Kempinski Palace Portorož
We had an amazing week at Kempinski Palace Portorož with my family. We also celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday. Everything was great and the staff did their very best to make mom feel special and all of us feel like home. Portorož and Piran are amazing places to spend an active holiday next to the sea in the spring and early autumn.

Top Adresse in Portoroz
Das Hotel ist ausgezeichnet. Beim service gibt es nur aufgrund des unzureichenden Services am Pool (Poolbar) einen Punkt Abzug. Oft war stundenlang keine Bedienung sichtbar und hat das Personal drinnen geplaudert. Der Pool sowie Poolbereich sind schön und ausreichend groß. Der Salzwasserpool ist sehr angenehm. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen, gefrühstückt werden kann auf der überdachten Terrasse oder in der Crystal Hall (wie ein Ballsaal). Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Hotel hat einen Parkservice dh das Auto wird auf wunsch geparkt und wieder geholt (Garage) ohne Aufpreis.

Nice staff, especially Marco at the front desk who helped us with dinner reservations and even drove us to the restaurant in Piran and introduced us to the owner. Ester gave me a very nice message and my wife a nice facial. The bartenders were also nice, and the pool man was helpful as well. Overall, the hotel was wonderful and if we return, we will definitely stay at this hotel.t

2 Punkte sind von uns sehr negativ wahrgenommen worden: Wir sind gegen 23 h im Hotel angekommen. Der Check-In dauerte mehr als 40 Minuten- jeder einzelne Reisepass wurde in einer ewig langen Prozedur in den Computer eingegeben- absolutes no go, insbesondere weil wir mit unserer Mutter ( 86 Jahre) gereist sind, due sehr müde in der Lobby auf den Zimmerbezug warten musste. Bei Frühstück nicht genügend Platz auf der Terrasse bzw. Wartezeiten, bis man endlich einen Tisch bekommen hat. Man wartet dann wiederum 20 Minuten auf einen Kaffee, der beim Keller bestellt wird. Es gibt auf der Terrasse grosse runde Tische, die waren jedoch alle belegt und wir wurden an einem viel zu kleinen Tisch platziert. Diese Punkte sind inakzeptabel für ein 5 Sterne Haus.

Upon visiting us first time each passport or ID should be scanned as all the guests staying at the hotel must be registered. Every following stay procedure is shorter as all the details are already in the system. Our hotel does offer two possibilities of the seating at the breakfast area and it would be inside and outside. As the terrace cannot accommodate all the guests only on terrace guests are seated also in our gorgeous Crystal Hall terrace. We do apologize if you felt uncomfortable upon check in and breakfast area which for sure was not intent of our committed employees. Great accommodatio, excellent service, average sea
Very nice hotel, combination of old style and modern design, great , attentive staff, clean well maintained spa and pool area. Very delicious food in Sofia restaurant. THe only weaker part was the sea - warm but with quite a lot of sea weeds and not so clean as in other part of adriatic, though there is not much that hotel can do about it.

Alles wunderbar, aber nur eine Sache, die ich sehr schade finde. Wir haben drei Abende hintereinander im sehr schoenen aber dem entsprechend sehr teuren Restaurant gegessen. Am dritten Abend mussten alle Gaeste wetterbedingt im Inneren essen. Obwohl wir am Vorabend nach dem Essen einen Tisch fuer diesen 3. Abend reserviert haben, haben wir zu einem nicht schoenen letzten freienTisch zugewiesen. Das Restaurant haette fuer uns einen schoeneren Tisch frei halten sollen oder sogar muessen. Das war nicht aufmerksam.
