At Ortelle the worship of St. George, who was beheaded in Lydia (Palestine) in 303 AD, is very old. The legend tells that St. George was a great warrior capable of killing a dragon that terrorized the inhabitants of Silene, in Libya. The statue of the saint in the church of Ortelle, portrays him in the act of killing the beast and is one of the most beautiful and majestic existing statues in paper mache.

Einzigartige Location - Top Service, sehr gepflegte Anlage mit Traumstrand und Strandbar. Kleiner Wermutstropfen ist die abendliche Musikdarbietung auf der Terrasse, die viel zu laut ist. Es gibt leider keine Ausweichmöglichkeit einer zweiten Bar.

10 shots panorama thanks to my mate who posed for this photo --- The bay of Porto Miggiano is located in the town of Santa Cesarea Terme, one of the best destinations to spend the holidays in Puglia, located in the east coast of Salento. La Torre Miggiano was probably built in the sixteenth century to protect the port and to the defense of the miners working quarries carparo stone and sent the segments throughout the county to provide useful material for construction. Now these ancient ruined structures create a unique landscape, surrounded by clear water that flows into the bay of Porto Miggiano.
