"I stayed here with two buddies, with the plan to do a bunch of hiking and have a cozy, spacious place to come back to every day, and this fit the bill perfectly. We loved the neighborhood, the view is incredible, the walk down to the city center is easy, and we felt right at home. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in Funchal!"

"The location is great, on walking distance from the harbour and main restaurant/shopping streets in Funchal. "Our group of 14 thoroughly enjoyed our 7-day stay at the Cliffside Villa. The house is located on a quiet cul de sac just outside of the precious town of Ponto Do Sol. The house is spacious and easily accommodates a large group. The view of the sea from the pool and balconies is incredible. Communication with Carlos/Caty was quick and easy. Our host had delicious snacks and beverages upon our arrival which was such a nice gesture! Thanks so much for having us. We hope to come back to Madeira!"

"Although a bright and pleasant house, it is showing signs of a lack of maintenance, with numerous marks on the walls, several lights that don't work (along with the clock and the safe), doors which constantly rattle with air movement, handrails with peeling paint that comes off on your hands and clothing, and a front door lock which doesn't latch. The location is good, with great sea views, and even though the airport is so close you can see down onto the runway, the noise is not excessive....
