Welcome to the Topanga Bungalow — a peaceful, newly remodeled retreat tucked in the Fernwood hills of Topanga Canyon. This private 1-bedroom home with a charming vaulted sleeping loft comfortably sleeps 4 and is designed for guests who crave nature, privacy, and modern comfort in equal measure.



SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:

The main bedroom features a queen bed with premium linens, while the vaulted sleeping loft tucks a queen mattress beneath a peaked ceiling with a small garden window — a cozy, tucked-away nook best suited for children, petite adults, or flexible sleepers who don't mind a low ceiling. Please note: the loft sleeping area has limited headroom and the mattress cannot be used as a standard sofa. The tiled bathroom includes a walk-in shower with a built-in bench.



KITCHEN & LIVING:

The fully equipped kitchen makes home cooking easy, whether you're brewing morning coffee while watching canyon fog roll through the trees or prepping a backyard BBQ dinner. The kitchen is equipped with a drip coffee maker and we provide starter coffee grounds — just add water and brew. The open living area is bathed in natural light and features a TV and comfortable seating.



OUTDOOR LIVING:

Step through the back door into your own private canyon sanctuary. The fully fenced backyard features a terraced garden, outdoor dining table, and a propane BBQ grill — perfect for al fresco meals surrounded by the sounds of nature.



WORK & WELLNESS:

A dedicated workspace with high-speed Wi-Fi makes this an ideal remote work base. After your workday, enhance your stay with optional on-site wellness offerings including Reiki, energy healing, forest bathing, sound healing, and massage. Please inquire for availability.



LOCATION:

You're moments from the trailhead connecting to Topanga State Park — home to miles of hiking through coastal sage, oak woodland, and sweeping canyon vistas. Tuna Canyon, Red Rock, and Kerry Lane trails are all nearby. Malibu's beaches and PCH restaurants are just 15 minutes west. Santa Monica is 30 minutes east.



Guest Access:

Self check-in via keypad smart lock. Your unique access code will be sent 24 hours before your arrival.



The entire house and yard is yours — everything inside the wooden gate. Enjoy complete privacy throughout your stay.



One designated parking space is available on the premises in the driveway. Street parking in Topanga is limited and in some areas prohibited by the County — please use the driveway spot provided.



The Neighborhood:

Located in the Fernwood neighborhood of Topanga Canyon, one of Los Angeles's most beloved natural escapes, this home sits on the edge of Topanga State Park — the largest wildland within the boundaries of any U.S. city. Canyon roads wind through oak woodland and chaparral, with ocean breezes rolling in from the Pacific just a few miles west.



Step outside your door and you're moments from the Kerry Lane trailhead, which leads into stunning panoramic canyon and ocean views. The Observation–Grand View–Sischo walking loop is a neighborhood classic. Tuna Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, and Trippet Ranch trails are all within a short drive.



Topanga Village offers a handful of beloved cafés, farm-to-table restaurants, and independent boutiques. Drive 15 minutes in either direction and you're on Pacific Coast Highway — with Malibu's beaches, restaurants, and surf breaks to the west, and Santa Monica and Venice Beach to the east.



This is the ideal base for guests who want to feel completely removed from city noise while staying connected to everything Los Angeles has to offer.



Getting Around:

Getting here is half the experience: enjoy the scenic winding drive through Topanga Canyon's ancient oak trees and golden hillsides as you leave the city behind.



ON FOOT: The neighborhood is very walkable for nature lovers. The Observation–Grand View–Sischo loop is a beautiful 30–45 minute neighborhood walk. From there, trail access leads through Topanga State Park to Kerry Lane with panoramic canyon views.



BY CAR: A car is recommended for exploring beyond the immediate neighborhood. Malibu is 15 minutes west via Topanga Canyon Blvd to PCH. Santa Monica is approximately 30 minutes east. Calabasas/101 is about 15 minutes north via Topanga Canyon Blvd.

• No large gatherings or events without prior written approval

• No smoking or vaping indoors

• Pets welcome with prior approval — please keep pets leashed in common outdoor areas

• Roads in the neighborhood are narrow — please drive slowly and carefully

• All trash must be disposed of properly in the designated bins

• Firewise practices are required — no open fires outside the designated fire pit

• Please treat the property and its furnishings with care



Guests must complete the third-party verification process and submit a copy of their ID prior to check-in.



NOISE MONITORING:

The property is equipped with indoor and outdoor decibel monitoring devices that measure noise levels only and do not record conversations. These devices help ensure compliance with local noise ordinances. Tampering with or removing any monitoring device may result in forfeiture of your security deposit and/or additional charges.
