Though the owner responded quickly and politely to questions, nothing else was what we expected from a 5-star rental. tldr: missing check-in and -out instructions, uncomfortable furniture, and limited amenities left us unhappy.I was not given check-in info until I asked (the day of). While the beginning was thorough, the end was missing info; inside the front door, there were three doors and no info on which was our rental room. Wifi details were not provided until I asked.The room smelt of mildew (perhaps due to the uncommon rain). Even with the AC’s dehumidifier running, it felt perpetually damp inside.We were given two small bath towels, but no washcloths or hand towels. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, and hot water kettle, but no plates, utensils, cups, or mugs. The only water was via the bathroom sink and shower. The shower had poor drainage, resulting in a persistent puddle after first use.The bed was very uncomfortable and left us sore our whole stay. The comforter didn’t breathe, leaving us sweaty despite the unseasonable cold. The smart TV features didn’t work, and there was no way to connect a laptop.The listing advertised a parking space available on a first-come basis, but it was available only once (briefly) during our 5-day stay, so I feel it would have been more honest to not list a parking spot. The two trash cans were very tiny and could not fit our 5 days of trash. But there were no instructions (even on checkout) of what to do with trash.
