Hotellet er fantastisk med god beliggenhed. Restauranten kunne godt tåle en opgradering, personalet bliver meget hurtigt stresset, då de glemmer og servicen daler. Det kunne blive en fænomenal restaurant med den smukkeste udsigt, hvis de bare tig dig lidt sammen

Back for my second visit- just as lovely. The Lake Hotel in Killarney in County Kerry is a charming and magical place -by far our favorite lodging in Ireland, for so many reasons. The grounds of the property, as you turn into the driveway, are immaculate and they are the first hint you are someplace truly special. The grounds have plenty to enjoy and explore, including scenic views, and gorgeous wildlife- including red deer, birds, and more. Lough Leane and the castle ruins at the edge of the lake provide some of the most stunning vistas and views of the mountains beyond Lough Leane. Sitting in The Lakeside Bistro bar and restaurant watching rain storms blow in over the lake from the mountains was better than can be described. Really, who needs TV or entertainment when surrounded by such beauty? Every meal, (and every perfectly poured pint of Guinness!) we enjoyed during our stay was excellent and noteworthy. The breakfasts in The Castlelough Restaurant were perfection too, with attentive staff, delicious coffee (not so easy to find in Ireland!) and delicious food. Again, all on-site, overlooking the lake and beautiful grounds. The lovely, large, spotless, and comfortable room we stayed in was not a lakeside room but was beautiful anyway!

Bel hôtel historique bien localisé sur le lac. Beaucoup de charme et d’histoire. Très bon menu de déjeuner. Grande chambre. Le seul inconvénient est que les chambres ne sont pas climatisé, ce qui est très rare de nos jours. Un ventilateur est fourni mais s’il fait très chaud, ce ne sera pas suffisant. Les fenêtres ouvrent un peu mais on ne peut les laisser ouvertes en tout temps à cause des moustiques.

So far in our trip The Lake Hotel has ruined all other hotel experiences! Perfect location, stunning views, staff that treat you like family, and the best breakfast we've had anywhere period! The wife loved The Lake Hotel so much she said she wants to visit Ireland again and just stay there a week to enjoy everything The Lake Hotel and the surrounding area has to offer. I'm absolutely serious, The Lake Hotel should be on your list of places to stay! Rooms: Our room was perfect! Absolutely not a single flaw. All marble bathroom was spotless, beds were ridiculously comfortable, and every amenity you could need is available. Kid friendly, absolutely! Crib and all available, The Lake Hotel simply hits every note. Safety: Safety is of no concern here! Toddler friendly rooms and accommodations, danger points within the hotel addressed, great security coverage to keep a watchful eye on things. Walkability: National Park is right onsite, allowing a quick walk to several popular destinations and sight seeing locations. We loved the area, it's a nature lovers dream! Food & drinks: My main review covers this but the breakfast is stellar with a mind boggling selection! We had supper in the "fancier" dining area and let me tell you their chef knows how to make a meal and make you feel special! We had no reason to leave the grounds, The Lake Hotel can satisfy you start to finish, sunrise to sunset!

10/10. THE VIEWS were simply stunning. You should stay here and enjoy the scenery and the wildlife. The rooms were big with large bathrooms. The breakfast was like fine dining. Music and bar at night. If you wanted you do not even need to leave the hotel. We got in late from Galway on our first night and the kitchen was closed... so no room service--the bartender was nice enough to personally make me a sandwich. The front desk has plenty of maps and things to do and the staff is willing to give awesome recommendations. The parking was easy and no extra charge. Just wait till you see the property!!! On our way back to the hotel we saw about 10 deer grazing, just a perfect place to stay and VERY close to downtown 5-10 min drive

This hotel was absolutely amazing!!! Set on the lake our view was phenomenal! The room was large with patio doors leading to patio with seating. It was simply idyllic! We stayed only 2 nights and could have stayed much longer. The entire staff provided exceptional service. Sergei was so sweet and kind delivering room service. Food in the bar was very good as was evening music. Breakfast large buffet and delicious. We can not recommend this hotel enough!

Dinner was amazing!!! Loved the location and the atmosphere of an old grand hotel. The only negative was there was a fragrance used in either the laundering of bedding or cleaning that bothered me a bit. Otherwise, excellent all around!

The location of this hotel is unparalleled. It has some of the most magnificent views I’ve ever seen. It was super convenient to walk to Wicklow National Park, the two restaurants and bar were fantastic. They even had live music and the staff were eager to please, very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent and the staff accommodated my food sensitivities without issue. We will definitely be coming back to The Lake Hotel—just lovely.

The hotels property is a picturesque landscape. The rooms are decent sized and very comfortable. Honestly this is my favorite hotel in Ireland. Don’t pass on this hotel.

Loved everything about this property, All stall very helpful, food very good. Walking distance to Killarney City center with great restaurants and shopping.

This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The views were incredible, the staff was so friendly and the location was great for area sightseeing. I would love to stay again!

A lovely property with a great view of the lakes! The bistro and breakfast food was very tasty as well. Easy walkable access to the national park (10 min) and to town (40 min).

Spacious room with a wonderful view of the lake and the mountains . It was calming to wake up and notice the landscape. The breakfast included every one ‘s favorites with a great selection to chose from. Great starting point for the National Park, the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. I would definitely return if I find myself in the area again.
