"Beautiful location. Property is gorgeous. The only downfall is there's no insulation in the roof and it's a metal roof. So as a sun heats the metal it pops and makes lots of noise as well as when it cools down at night it contracts and pops and makes lots of noise so it's hard to sleep if you don't have some kind of a background noise like ocean waves or a fan. But it's still definitely worth the stay as it's gorgeous and you can hear howler monkeys."

"This was probably one of the best house rentals our family has ever stayed in. It was absolutely perfect for a family of four with two teenagers. The pictures do not lie - this place is beautiful, clean, and surrounded by the most breathtaking views. It was very easy to communicate with the host over WhatsApp, although we did not require much communication, as every went smoothly. "The location of this property is great, although we did struggle to find it as there are no signs from the main road! It us very handy for all the amenities of Santa Elena. The accommodation was more basic than we expected and we struggled a bit with this as the weather was so wet during our stay. Everything felt damp! That said, the beds were super comfy, we LOVED waking up surrounded by the trees every morning. Just magical! So very prepared for basic facilities, plan to eat out and enjoy...

"We staying in the hand-built rustic wood cabin in the middle of blackberries [Mora] in the woods. You need a 4 wheel drive to get down the very steep access road. We left our compact rental car at a house up at the road [for a modest fee] and walked down 2km. The cabin is down a steep forest path. Didn't see evidence of wifi. It's simple and wild. Will not suit everyone, but we greatly enjoyed it. "

"Nos hospedamos 2 noches. No nos fijamos q la habitación q reservamos no incluía aire acondicionado y la verdad nos hizo mucha falta, pensamos que por el precio era obvio que lo tendría. En la segunda noche nos trajeron un segundo abanico. La ducha estaba fallando porque el agua salía hirviendo o congelada y para que llegara a caliente demoraba muchísimo. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain Wonders Chalet and being surrounded by nature and wildlife - but at the same time close enough to everything that we wanted to do in Monteverde. Daniela is a wonderful host and could not have been more helpful before, and during our stay. The house itself has a beautiful wooden interior and all the rooms are spacious and well equipped with everything that we needed. We found the house spotless on arrival and would definitely recommend. Thank you!"
