I rarely ever write bad reviews; however, in this case I feel that it is warranted. First the good points, the staff, specifically Kibert, Adda and Sara were all wonderful and if it were not for them , our stay would have been worse. So thank you to all of you for your excellent customer service.
The hotel is walking distance to the Plaza which is full of restaurants and bustle. A short walking distance from the Rhine River This hotel is quaint and has a nice breakfast and rooms are cute.
The bad staff, unfortunately, their beds are terrible, like sleeping on a bed when you were 15 years old. We switched rooms and the bed problem was worse!
The air conditioning does not stay on especially at night and it gets really hot. The internet also turns off in the middle of the night so if you listen to music , birds, etc, that can pose a problem. In the shower you have shampoo, conditioner and body all in one so I was not able to untangle my as they did not have conditioner. Their T.V. Has no English channels except BBC. They did offers movies and their HDMI connection did not work.
When I spoke the manager about all this, he was pretty non chalante about the whole thing!
We were travelling to Cologne for a trade show for business and stayed 6 days and had no sleep for 6 stays.
No compensation , no discounts no nothing for
The hotel to compensate our terrible stay.
Would I stay at CityClass Hotel again, Never!
