The Penthouse provides a cozy, luxurious stay for your home away from home in Chicago. Highlights 2bd/1.5 bath with patio and free street parking 5 mins to University of Chicago 5 mins to lakefront and beach 5 mins to Hyde Park restaurants and attractions 15 min to downtown Chicago, $10-20 uber Walking distance to 2 nearby parks, public transportation & divvy bikes It's a great central location to explore Chicago, ideal for families visiting students & individuals working at the medical campus This newly remodeled 2 bd 1.5 bath unit is nestled in the vibrant North Kenwood neighborhood of Chicago. The Penthouse is located on the top floor of a 3 unit building which allows an immense amount of natural light through a large arched window. The impeccably stunning accent wall in the living room provides a five star hotel flair. Guests can cozy up in a lounge chair next to the arched window, catching amazing views of the sunset. These are the unique aspects of The Penthouse that provide stylish yet cozy vibes that will make you feel right at home. The unit has two large 60-72” smart TV’s, a washer and dryer and free high speed internet access. There is central AC and heat. Our beautiful kitchen is well equipped with gorgeous stainless-steel appliances as well as all of the equipment you’ll need to create meals from scratch during your stay. There is a fully equipped Keurig coffee station and plenty of counter space. You’ll find pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery in the drawers and cabinets. You will have the comfort of enjoying your delicious meals in the spacious dining area. This modern unit has smart devices which include smart keypad system for entry, Alexa and smart thermostat. This unit comfortably sleeps 4 individuals. A pack and play along with a high chair is also available for use. During your stay you will sleep comfortably in one of three spaces. There is a queen bed in the first room along with a 60 inch smart TV. The second room has a lovely canopy full size bed which includes a plush twin trundle bed. Additionally there is a desk within this room as well. Lastly, the sofa can be transitioned into a full size sofa bed. Feel free to ask us how when you book! Guests will have the luxury of one full bathroom that includes a shower and full bathtub as well as a separate half bathroom. You will have more than enough towels and linens. Another great feature of this top floor unit is the private patio deck. This space is perfect for coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening. The entire 1600 square foot unit and private patio deck with furniture will be accessible to guests. This is not a shared unit. Guests will check in via lock-box/Keypad which is very convenient and user friendly. We are easily accessible via instant message on airbnb. For emergencies please do not hesitate to call or text us! Located a mere three miles directly south of downtown Chicago, North Kenwood is a neighborhood within the Kenwood community. Its boundaries are Lake Michigan shoreline to the east, South Drexel Boulevard to the west, East 47th Street to the south and 43rd Street on the north. It is one of Chicago's landmark neighborhoods. There is ample free street parking surrounding the location. Public transportation is extensive and shared with its neighbor to the south, Hyde Park. There is convenient access to both a number of bus lines (2 Hyde Park Express, 6 Jackson Park Express, and 4 Cottage Grove are just a few) and 47th Street Metra, all of which connect to downtown. Lake Shore Drive is a mere few minutes away to the east and there’s the Dan Ryan Expressway to the west for those opting for travel by car. Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are also easily accessible. The Penthouse is located within a residential unit. We ask that you pull the exterior doors/gates shut when coming and going, and keep noise down when going through the hallway. We want to earn your five star rating and believe you will undoubtedly enjoy your time at The Penthouse! Perfect!

Can’t recommend enough. So easy, so clean - we were exhausted coming in from hellish flight with two babies and everything was so well set up for us. Really appreciate how communicative host was, and location was perfectly situated. Will def come back when we visit family !

Fantastic place to stay and entertain

The property owner is fantastic to interact. Place is very clean and ample amenities to entertain. I enjoyed the verity of coffee cups and option to watch Netflix and Prime Videos at night. Place is full of light in the day which we loved. Beach is very close by.

Spacious Apt. in Nice Quiet Neighborhood blocks from Lake Michigan

My two adult children and I really enjoyed staying in this modern, clean, stylish two bedroom, 1/2 bath 3rd floor apartment by the Lake. The owner was very responsive and quickly brought by extra sheets and towels upon request. We’d stay there again whenever we visit Chicago!

Perfect stay

Overall, the property was presented perfectly and accurately in all the pictures and descriptions. Even for just a couple, the space was extremely cozy and comfortable. The neighborhood was great as well. Access was the easiest I have had for a rental and communication was fast and easy as well. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

One week stay.

We had a lovely stay. Easy drive to IIT where our youngest has a place. Convenient to public transit and Divvy. Took Divvys along the lake to Art Institute, Field Museum, and boat tours. Hosts communicated clearly and were readily available. We would definitely stay again. Cute place!!

Perfekte Unterkunft um Chicago eine Woche lang zu entdecken

Appartement ist exakt so, wie im Video beschrieben. Tolle Ausstattung, sehr sauber und sehr funktionell. Im Hauptschlafzimmer könnte eine Verdunklung sehr hilfreich sein. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können alles uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Vielen Dank, dass wir das Appartement nutzen durften.

Nicely appointed Kenwood Apartment

This is a beautiful apartment close to everything for exploring Chicago. Stayed with my parents for a UChicago graduation and they loved it! Stylish, comfortable and more spacious than the photos suggest. It is on the 3rd floor, but the nicely finished interior steps made my Mom feel comfortable and it is totally worth it for the view from the large window or the back porch deck. We had coffee there every morning. Just lovely! The neighborhood was quiet and there was ample street parking. Access was great to campus or to downtown, the Museum of Science and Industry, and all the amazing things Chicago has to offer. It was a terrific visit and I highly recommend this apartment.

Birthday getaway

I have to say that we really enjoyed our stay! The property had everything we needed and even felt like a hotel. Everything was updated and the beds were so comfortable! We could tell that they put a lot of thought into how to make your experience a relaxing one. The host was very nice, checked in with me during our stay and left us very easy instructions and information for the wifi and etc. I’d definitely recommend this property for any small group or solo trip to Chicago.
