I am a very low maintenance person, who doesn't write bad reviews often. One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. We arrived very tired and needing to rest. VRBO was having a temporary issue which prevented us from the necessary step of contacting the host to get our room # and door code. We called the hotel and they suggested we keep trying and call back if we couldn't get in. We called back a few minutes later and it kept going to voicemail. We called VRBO and spent the next hour being helped by the VRBO agent who contacted the hotel, who wouldn't allow him to get our room # or door code either. VRBO was not the problem here, and they did everything they could to get us checked in, because soemtimes apps have issues, and they have a contingency plan to directly contact the host. Finally, 2 hours later, the host hotel listened to our voicemails and emailed us the registration protocols to then get our room # and door code. Extremely unprofessional and difficult to deal with, and refusal to communicate with us. And no, we were never loud or rude or verbally abusive to any staff.
