"What a lovely gem of a boutique inn! Conveniently located to shops, restaurants, the VMFA and one of the prettiest neighborhoods in Richmond. This place exudes southern hospitality and charm. Amazing wine and cheese, amazing breakfast, and just amazing all around. We will be back!"

"This hotel was gorgeous! We arrived late so we didn’t spend any time around the area so I'm not sure how that is. I will say it is very loud especially at night outside. I swear the same car kept driving back and forth on the street outside of our room and it was SO loud that was the only thing we weren’t happy with. "

"Great stay, the installations were great! I have no complaints. I have to attend a business event the day after at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, and the hotel is only three minutes away."

"It didn’t smell like garbage. It totally didn’t feel gross just standing in the bathroom. I most certainly did not almost gag when I first walked in. I didn’t get drunk in the parking lot with my friends either. I did bring a sleeping bag. "

"I want to be transparent here. My room was barebones, but it is what I paid for, and for that I was satisfied. If you’re looking for the 5 star experience without paying for it, that’s unrealistic here for right now. The staff were friendly and flexible. It’s my hope that Richmond hotel will provide more amenities, upgrades, and repairs as it gets more guests there."

"This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel. We enjoy the cleanliness of the hotel and room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower was spacious, clean and water pressure was good. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Easy to walk or Uber to lots of restaurants, bars and attractions. The pool and hot tub were clean and towels well stocked. The temperature of the water was a bit uncomfortable though. The pool was a little too cold and the hot tub too hot to really enjoy for...

"Great location , and might return , ac units didn’t cool rooms down as well as other Marriott locations I have been to. However I don’t want to make something out of nothing just became difficult for myself and my wife to sleep good. For a quick overnight it did what it needed, staff was very friendly "

"I loved that the check in process was easy! We requested a refrigerator and it was in our room before we got there. The upgrades to the room were beautiful! We had the option of using Valet Parking or using the parking garage that was just a short walk away. The only thing that was a little inconvenient was the channel guide for the tv. The channels didn’t match the channel guide we had in our room. Other than that…I still give our stay 5 stars across the board. "

He also brought everything to our room. I think he also was the valet at that time. The night time valet was super great!!! The hotel is very nice and we had a great stay. "

"For my this being my first time in Richmond ( I’m from Norfolk ) The commonwealth hotel is very unique. The different pieces of art , the doors, the restaurant it’s all amazing. I think if I ever need a retreat again locally … I’ll definitely come there again as long as I have the same room."
