"We liked everything about The Boulevard Inn. The location was excellent. We enjoyed being able to walk to Cary Town as well as several outstanding museums in the area. The Inn is located in the neighborhood of many beautiful older homes which we found to be very interesting as we explored this part of historic Richmond. This place is unremarkable, pictures on the site are unrepresentative and service is horrible. 1) service: This hotel is in the gold hotel.com rewards program. As gold members we should therefore be offered both a free drink and a complimentary upgrade if available. On this particular day the hotel was mostly empty. Upon check-in the person at the front desk entirely refused to provide either rewards although acknowledging that it was clearly stated...

"Guests mugged in hotel parking garage by an unhoused man. Not a safe area! NO COFFEE available during breakfast. Staff said they needed to find a key to coffeemaker for 3 hours. No attempt to otherwise provide coffee at our location included breakfast. "

"Diamond and Andy were so welcoming at front desk. They explained many things to us and apologized for the problems we had with valet. We were going to complain about the valet and the prices but they explained it is a better deal than going across the hotel to public parking. The room was great.
