We had a very frustrating experience at The New Kit Hotel, mainly due to how parking is managed.
We paid €40 for parking in the hotel’s garage and were clearly told that paying for parking guaranteed us a space with access at all times. Unfortunately, this was not the case. On the day of departure, our car was completely blocked by another vehicle, making it impossible for us to leave the garage.
This situation can only happen if the hotel sells more parking spaces than the garage can actually accommodate, which is unacceptable when guests are paying for a guaranteed service.
We were under time pressure due to an appointment at home, and this caused unnecessary stress and delay. Despite contacting the hotel multiple times, it took more than 30 minutes before the blocking car was moved and we were finally able to exit.
We immediately requested a refund of the parking fee, as we clearly did not receive the service we paid for. This request was refused, which we found unreasonable and unprofessional.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone who needs reliable and properly managed parking.
