"The hostel is cosy and social. It’s not a party hostel, but people do socialise in the kitchen. The beds are the drawback here - they are rickety and every time someone moves in their bed, you can hear the springs. Also my bed moved every time the guy in the top bunk rolled around. I’m 193cm and couldn’t stretch out in the bed. Difficult to sleep. If you value your sleep, find another place. "

"Rented double bed with ensuite. Cons: no refrigerator (Expedia advertised it), only shared kitchen (with presumably a refrigerator, I didn't check). Aircon works great but makes clicking sound when using low fan speed, ok on medium - not a problem for me. Indifferent: Some stairs to get up then back down to the room but ok for me. Pros: good location - close Woolworths and town hall train station / light rail, internet wifi was good, app to open doors was good (slight delay to open door but...

"The people at the reception were nice and overall the staff is really friendly. Cockroaches were keeping us company during the lonely nights, and the fridge kept leaking ; the bathroom was dirty as well - we would be inebriated with weed smell on a daily basis, and whilst we wouldn't normally care, this was too much even for us. We understand it's a hostel, we really do, but the hygiene standards we require are not as high as the people that kept smoking in the courtyard."
