Unfortunately the placement of the AC unit, which was intermittently louder than it should've been, meant that even on low speed air was blasted up my nose all night. This made sleeping very difficult as the AC is obviously non negotiable in the August heat. Did have an issue with communication. We were not greeted by a person, therefore, we had some difficulty learning how to operate appliances etc. We could never figure out how to operate the stove or AC. "Negatives; 1. Last 30 metres of climb to the property was extremely steep. 2. The bed (a pull our couch) was the hardest that we have ever experienced. 3. The owner/host spoke zero English. 4. She showed us an unacceptable small unit, which we declined, until showing us a larger one with a view (which we had paid for). 5. "The property was very nice and the views from the terrace were spectacular. Monteleone d'Orvieto is very quiet, with little to see or do in town, although it is a good location for day trips. We had to pay extra to heat the pool and hot tub, which only heated to about 92 degrees, so was a bit chilly."
