"Room was a well-maintained in a medieval building dating from the 1300s. Ancient timber and brick ceilings. Thrilling for Canadians used to only modern buildings. Fun to sit by the window and watch the action in the ancient square below. Hostess was very friedly and helpful and fluent in French, as well as Italian."

"Although the furnishings may be outdated, and the castle is a good drive uphill on an Italian twisty-road… we were very happy with our stay here: it’s a castle room! We enjoyed it. Be prepared for bird song in the morning, and beautiful valley vistas. Bring your wine and snacks: there are no shops around! Breakfast was included and it was good. Parking is a bit downhill but on property. Add 15 minutes to your expected drive to all area attractions and you will be fine. Enjoy Giomici castle! "

"The hostess did what she could to fix the issues, but the listing should be made more accurate. It is actually a shared apartment with other renters. The private part is only 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. You can also use a common area that has a table, but it is shared with others staying there. The checkout is actually 10am, not 2pm as listed and a person entered our rooms at 10:30 to start cleaning. The breakfast included is at a train station that you need to drive to but without parking. Qualche disavventura con acqua calda e wifi (i telefoni in camera e in balcone non funzionano) tv ... basterbbe poco per renderlo un buon soggiorno. Inclusa una colazioncina da due soldi. "Ho soggiornato dal 26/8/15 al 29/8/15 con la mia famiglia. Ci siamo trovati benissimo! La struttura è in posizione tranquilla ma comunque vicinissima ad Assisi, l'appartamento pulito e confortevole e il Signor Marcello è un padrone di casa simpatico e disponibile. Le mie figlie hanno usufruito della piscina a tutte le ore. Lo consiglio sicuramente."
